Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Who gives Link the Fishing Rod in the game?

Answer: Uli

In the opening series of events in Ordon Village, you will need to use a summoned hawk to retrieve a crib from a pedestal of land in the middle of the river. Once you have claimed this, you must take it to Uli, Rusl's wife. In return, she will give you the Fishing Rod that Colin made. You can use this to continue with the simple trading sequence which ultimately results in allowing you to buy a Slingshot from the local shop.
2. Which of these is not a fish that you can catch in the game?

Answer: Mini Jabun

Jabun was the God of the sea in "Wind Waker", and bears a striking resemblance to another "Zelda" series character, Jabu Jabu, who has appeared in numerous games. The Greengill is probably the most common fish, and one of the few that can be found nearly anywhere. You will likely catch these during the trading sequence in Ordon Village.

The Ordon Catfish is usually found in the fishing area near Zora's Domain while the Hylian Bass is a bit less common. The Hylian Bass is also from the Fishing area of Lake Hylia in "Ocarina of Time" and it allowed Link to get the Golden Scale.
3. Which character manages the Fishing area near Zora's Domain?

Answer: Hena

Hena is a younger character in the game, but evidently, her entrepreneurial skills are top notch, as her quality fishing hole covers not only most of the fish in the game, but you can travel through different seasons and climates to catch them. Hena's fishing hole works in conjunction with the boat rental shop (for the rapids) in the Upper Zora River area to provide minigames for any tourists.

Hena is Iza and Coro's sister while Plumm is a bird who hangs around Lake Hylia letting active animals partake in his balloon-popping adventure game.
4. What prize do you get for playing and beating the Rollgoal minigame?

Answer: Frog Lure

Rollgoal can be found in one of the corners of Hena's fishing hole shop. To play it, you must go into first-person view and look at the contraption before Hena will note your interest and ask if you want to play. The game involves eight different boards with raised platforms that form a track. To play, you tilt your Wii Remote to roll the ball along the track to the finishing area. If you fall off the track, you lose and have to replay. You pay 5 Rupees per play, but you get money back if you win. If you complete the eighth board, you win the Frog Lure, and you can continue playing series of eight tracks at harder difficulties.

There are eight series if you want to attempt this feat. Every time you clear the eighth board in a series, your wallet will be refilled completely.
5. Which lure must you fish for to obtain?

Answer: Sinking Lure

In order to obtain the elusive (yet illegal) fishing lure, you must first catch a Hylian Pike, a Hylian Bass, and an Ordon Catfish in the fishing hole and keep them in the tank in the shop. Then, you must cross the bridge in the area and fish off the edge of the land for it.

When you actually obtain this lure, you will not be able to use it with Hena in your boat with you. She will deem it illegal and take it back from you. You will need to fish for it again if she does this.
6. What is the biggest fish that can be captured in the game?

Answer: Hylian Loach

In order to capture this beast, you will need to equip your Frog Lure or your Sinking Lure and head to the summer area of the fishing hole. Rent a canoe and head north to start fishing in the lily pads. Once you snag the fish, you will need to reel it in with all your might- after all, it's a whopping thirty inches long! Once the fish is caught, it will remain in the tank in the shop forever. If you wish to complete this task with the Sinking Lure, you must not have Hena in your canoe with you, or you'll lose it.
7. Which of these can't be caught with a Fishing Rod in the game?

Answer: A Bomb Bag

If you happen to be needing any of these items, it's as simple as a flick of the remote. For the bottle, head to the bridge in the fishing hole and fish for it off the west edge. The Piece of Heart in the fishing hole also needs a bit of help. To obtain it, you need to find it perched up on the arched rock in the center of the lake, and you need to cast a line to pull it down.

The new lure for the rod is the Sinking Lure, which is in the hole as well. Bomb Bags are obtained elsewhere; Barnes' Bomb Shop, Zora's Domain, and Iza's boat tour to be exact.
8. Where can you catch Skullfish?

Answer: Lakebed Temple

Skullfish are actually enemy fish which will only be found in the depths of the third dungeon, the Lakebed Temple. These fish will normally eat away at your health while they swim around, and you can use various weapons to defeat them, but you can also simply fish for them. Like any other fish, they will hook onto the bait and you can pull them up to defeat them.

These fish are essentially just bony skeletons. They first appeared in "Ocarina of Time".
9. What colour is the Reekfish?

Answer: Red

The Reekfish can be found in Zora's Domain at Mother and Child Rocks. These fish are a major plot point after you finish your quest through the Arbiter's Grounds. You must catch this fish and then learn its scent in wolf form so that you can navigate the snowy tundras and mountains of the Snowpeak area to the northeast. Learning this scent will cause you to forget a previous scent, but it's worth it, as you will be able to use it to reach Yeto and his house, the Snowpeak Ruins.
10. Who gives Link the only attainable hook in the game?

Answer: Prince Ralis

Before you can even attempt to catch the Reekfish in Zora's Domain, you'll need to pay Zora Prince Ralis a visit in Kakariko Graveyard in order to receive the Coral Earring. This piece will replace the Bone Hook that you have on your line, and will cause fish to bite quicker. You must have this on the line in order to catch the Reekfish and reach the Snowpeak Ruins. To obtain the hook, you must first get the sketch from Ashei to show to Ralis.
