The "Oracle of Seasons" features two currencies, one for the land of Subrosia (Ore Chunks) and one for the land of Holodrum (Rupees). Subrosia is the lava-filled world beneath Holodrum and is only featured in "Seasons" game, as "Ages" is set in Labrynna.

Ore Chunks can be found all over Subrosia, by digging them up, paying for them in the Market, chopping down signs and grass etc. Some areas contain a lot of Ore Chunks, but the best way to increase the number that you have is to use a "Green Joy" ring, which allows the number of Ore Chunks to double.

Answer: No

They are up on Rolling Ridge in the past and present in "Ages" but they are also in "Seasons", in the Goron Mountain. In "Seasons", you meet Biggoron: an extremely huge Goron who cannot fit inside a cave and therefore has to stand outside. For this reason, he gets a cold and as part of the trading sequence, Link has to get him some Lava Soup (from Subrosia) to warm him up. In return, Link gets the Goron Vase and the trading sequence continues.

The Gorons are more important in the "Oracle of Ages", with a larger population. They open games such as Target Carts, The Big Bang Game and a shooting gallery; plus there is also a Goron Dance. It is necessary to complete the dance to continue in the game, as Link receives a key from the Goron Elder to open up the next dungeon.

In the "Oracle of Ages", the Maku Tree is undoubtedly female, as she sports a red flower and blushes when talking to Link. She loved Link since she was a sapling (in the past), telling him that one day, she will be his bride, reminding him of this fact when they met again in the present.

In the "Oracle of Seasons", the Maku Tree residing in Horon Village is male, who likes to sleep a lot; Link constantly has to wake him up when he visits, hitting the bubble with his sword to do so.

In both games, however, they are very important, telling Link where he must go in order to find the next Essence and what he must do next, remembering more and more with each Essence Link finds.

'Wing Dungeon' is the second dungeon in 'Ages'. To enter it, Link has to be in the past because the rock which had supported the dungeon in the present was broken, and the dungeon collapsed. However, it was not as easy as finding the same place in the past: Link required bombs to blow away the blockage in the entrance, which he had to get from the elusive Queen Ambi.

'Mermaid's Cave' is the sixth dungeon in 'Ages', and is the only dungeon that Link can enter in both the past and the present, which is necessary to retrieve the Essence, the Bereft Peak.

'Jabu-Jabu's Belly' is the penultimate dungeon in 'Ages' and is probably the most bizzare, as the dungeon is inside a huge fish. Before Link can enter Jabu-Jabu, he must complete tasks such as cleaning the sea (and to do so, he must break the spell on the Fairy Queen).

In 'Seasons' there are two graveyards: one in Subrosia, and one in the South West of Holodrum, where the seventh dungeon (Explorer's Crypt) is located.

In 'Ages' there is only one graveyard (Yoll Graveyard) in eastern Labrynna, where there are many important landmarks, such as the first dungeon, 'Spirit's Grave', Syrup's Potion Shop and Cheval's grave. Yoll's Graveyard is one of two areas (along with the Black Tower) in the whole of Labrynna where the Harp of Ages cannot be used, due to there being a force which prevented Link from reaching this area. This is because in the past, the area was the Sea of No Returns, where the eighth dungeon is set.

In both games, Link finds an animal to accompany him on his quests, as there are certain terrains that he cannot overcome, such as deep waters, many holes in the ground or high ledges.

Moosh is a blue bear, who is able to fly over many holes in a row, with Link riding on his back. In 'Ages', this is useful for getting to Cheval's grave in Yoll Graveyard and in 'Seasons', Moosh is needed to overcome the rough terrain near Symmetry City. However, Moosh cannot fly over water and will sink if Link attempts to make him.

Ricky is a kangaroo, who can jump over holes and jump up cliffs and ledges when Link is riding in his pouch. Ricky likes boxing, and will punch to defend Link from monsters.

The final animal Link comes across in both stories, is Dimitri. He is a red Dodongo, who swims very easily in deep waters and even up waterfalls, as seen in Sunken City in 'Seasons'.

All of the animals can be summoned with their Flute. Depending on which animal is accompanying Link, the terrain for the games can change.

The island is actually called Crescent Island, although its inhabitants are called Tokay. It is home to the third dungeon in the "Oracle of Ages" and a number of huts and caves where the Tokay dwell. In the past, there is a hut where Link trades in order to get his possessions back, but in the present age it has gone, along with many other features. The cave where the Wild Tokay game is has turned into a museum, and the huts have moved. The third dungeon only appears in the present, because in the past it is a secret passage, leading to the eighth dungeon in the Sea of No Return.

Tokay aren't featured at all in the "Oracle of Seasons", although a new type of creature is seen instead: the Subrosians.

Link gets them in Unicorn's Cave (Level 5) in 'Seasons'. They are vital for completing the level, as Link uses them in many ways - such as travelling over holes by being attracted or repelled to magnets, and defeating the Boss of the dungeon, Digdogger, by manipulating a spiked metal ball, in order for it to collide with him.

Link does not find Magnetic Gloves in 'Ages' - but finds other tools instead, such as the Cane of Somaria, which creates blocks that Link uses to hide behind, press buttons down or to stop other objects moving.

Link learns *three* tunes in the "Oracle of Ages", as he returns to the past. In "Seasons", Link remains in the present day only.

Firstly, Link learns the "Tune of Echoes" in Nayru's house after finding the Harp of Ages. This tune allows him to open up Time Portals in both past and present day Labrynna and travel between the times.

Of course, this begins to be a problem, as the Time Portals aren't plentiful and when Link needs to return to the present (for example), he must wander around until he comes across a known portal. This is why the discovery of the next tune, the "Tune of Currents", is important and makes things easier. The song is given to Link by a man called Tokkey, who develops it in a hidden room, after Link plays the first tune for him. This tune allows Link to return to the present day after playing it in the past, and leaves a temporary portal open, so that he can go back to the past if necessary.

The final tune is called the "Tune of Ages" and unlocks the full potential of the Harp. He can then travel at will between the times - even if there is a temporary portal right next to him!

There are five types of seed, which grow on the five corresponding trees.

Firstly, Ember seeds are red in colour and are used to burn things such as monsters and small trees but are also used to light torches in dungeons and houses. In "Seasons", these trees bear their seeds in winter.

Secondly, Scent seeds are round and orange, and when cracked open, produce a scent which is apparently irresistible to some monsters, such as snakes. They can be used as a weapon when used in a Slingshot or Seed Shooter and will activate switches when shot at. In "Seasons", Scent trees produce seeds in spring.


Next, Pegasus seeds are blue and interestingly shaped. When used on Link, it will make him run fast and will help him to jump futher when used with the Roc's Feather or Cape. Ironically, when shot at enemies, they will make them freeze in their tracks. In "Seasons", the trees produce Pegasus seeds in autumn.

The forth type is the Gale seed, which is also blue. These seeds allow Link to warp, which means that he can travel instantly to any Mystical Seed tree. When shot at monsters, they get blown away in a small tornado. These seeds are produced in summer in "Seasons".

Finally, Mystery seeds are green - and what they do is a mystery! When applied on a monster, they can do any of the above abilities. Link can also use them on Owl Statues, which will awaken and give him a helpful hint or tip about the game.

Gasha seeds are not Mystical Seeds and cannot be used like them. Instead, they are planted in a patch of soft soil and will grow into Gasha trees, with a nut that will have some form of prize inside when fully grown and cracked open.
