I finally learned that the blocks must be formed into ice, then thrown at Frypolar. However, they are very heavy and require that you equip the Power Bracelet to lift them.

First of all, Blaino isn't that easily beaten. He exhibits all the tactics of a street brawler, except for one. He strips you of any helpful item before you attack him. Your Magic Rings won't equip against him, so don't waste your time trying them.

The Gloves are pretty useful afterall aren't they? They can be used to smash those pesky Hardhat Beetles in Sword and Shield Maze. Use them to unmask the Iron Mask enemies. Those red and silver critters you meet in Unicorn's Cave. And, although they will fight against it, the Magnetic Gloves will draw the Magnites in close to you for a sure kill.

The Magnites are those flat vertical floating discs that change from red to blue and vice/versa.

The so called "Rare Peach Stone" is in fact a Heart Container. Obviously the bottom-dwellers don't place much value on this find. Later in the game one of them can be seen tossing a Heart Container into a volcano's pit. Hmm...funny what we place value on isn't it.

Syrup's Shop is located atop a hill in Sunken City, and you can only access it during the winter season. If, our hero got his hands on a bottle of Magic Potion during the summer, it must have been a bootleg copy.

There are eight Essences of Time in the game and one can be abtained after defeating each of the first eight bosses. At the end of Poison Moth's Lair you can capture Bright Sun Essence. When you enter Subrosia you'll be to the right of the Subrosian graveyard. By the way, this is a one way trip. Sunken City is as active with things to do as Horon Village; however, I must say the designers were remiss in not putting a warp to Subrosia in this area. Aren't I lazy? I just hate that water trip to Mt. Cucco.
