Question 1 of 10
1. Using you knowledge of "Jedi Academy": It's weapons, Force Powers, etc, what is the best scenario and choice?

After landing undetected in a marsh near the Imperial Base, you Grab your Lightsaber, your DL-44 Blaster, your Tenloss DRX-6 Disrupter Rifle, and your Thermal Detonators.

You come over the crest of a hill and see the Imperial Base right in front of you, about eighty meters away. You see only two guards by the main entrance: One with an E-11 Blaster Rifle and one with a Heavy Imperial Repeater.

Which weapon would logically be best to take out the guards, and which guard would you neutralize first?
Hint

Question 2 of 10
2. After you've taken care of the guards outside, you take their weapons and slip into the base undetected. Using Force Sense, you detect a Stormtrooper with a Golan Arms Flachette Cannon around the next corner.

You don't want to be hit by the Stormtrooper's Flachette Cannon, and estimate you can get off one shot before he notices you and shoots. What tactic would you not use if you wanted to take care of the trooper before he shot you?
Hint

Question 3 of 10
3. You grab the fallen trooper's weapon and move on. You walk into a small control room and head for a computer terminal to see what kind of information you might be able to obtain, or to see if you can send the entire base into confusion making it easier for you to move around.

You turn the console on and it demands a password, with a small timer counting down in the corner. You never expected this. The timer reaches zero and the screen flashes to show you a large "Access Denied". You sense danger from behind you and whip out your Lightsaber to block what's coming. You turn just in time to see and block a turret as it shoots at you. You are blown back, but relatively unharmed. However, your Lightsaber was fried by the proximity of the blast and isn't working. You take cover behind a computer to think things through.

What would be the best way to deal with the turret now?
Hint

Question 4 of 10
4. You run out of the control room and see a squad of troopers coming down the hall. You start running in the opposite direction and manage to dodge their laser blasts until you round a corner. This would be the best place to set up for an ambush. What tactic would you use? Hint

Question 5 of 10
5. As you walk along the hallway, you peer into a small weapons storage room. You restock your ammo and pick up a few more Thermal Detonators, Trip Mines, and Detonation Packs. Also in the room is a small box with glowing green lights. You've seen these boxes before. What do they do? Hint

Question 6 of 10
6. As you walk through a doorway, you start hearing a loud thumping noise. You recognize this to be the footsteps of a heavily armored trooper, and they're coming towards you. These troopers normally carry Merr-Sonn PLX-2M Portable Missile Launcher.

What would be the best course of action against one of these troopers?
Hint

Question 7 of 10
7. You take the heavy trooper's weapon and proceed. You come to a large room with a ledge circling the perimeter about three meters above the main floor. On it, across from your position, you can sense a Stormtrooper. He doesn't know of your presence, but should you move into view, he'll have a clear shot at you.

The only way to your objective is through this room, and you want to take care of this trooper in such a fashion that he wont bother you again.

What Force Power would NOT work for this situation?
Hint

Question 8 of 10
8. You see an exterior bridge leading to the building your objective is located in. You step out and see a Probe Droid standing by. It notices you before you get a shot of and starts swerving madly. Even with your Jedi honed aim, none of your shots hit.

What would you use in this scenario?
Hint

Question 9 of 10
9. You make it to the security room of the building. A sign indicates that there is a large weapons and explosives cache on the other side. However, the door is locked. Knowing that if there's a locked door, then there's normally a key. You exit the room in search of what? Hint

Question 10 of 10
10. You run back to the security room with your key to find a Dark Jedi standing in your way. You wish you had your Lightsaber. Instead, what would be your next best option? Hint

Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts

Answer: Use the Tenloss DRX-6 Disrupter Rifle, take out the Imperial Heavy Repeater.

The Tenloss DRX-6 is a sniper rifle and can be charged to take out most troopers or un-armored enemies with one shot. The Charged DL-44 might be enough to take out one trooper if you hit him in the right spot, but from eighty meters, even with honed Jedi senses, it'd be a tough shot. As for the Thermal Detonators: you could not throw a Thermal Detonator far enough, even aided with a Force push, to hit the guards.

You would take out the Heavy Repeater first, as it can spit out rounds faster than the E-11, making it harder to dodge. Also, the Heavy Repeater comes with a Concussion Round attachment, which has a large blast radius, making it easier for the guard to hit you. The E-11 just puts out laser bolts at a decent rate, and is not very strong to begin with.

Answer: Tenloss DRX-6 Disrupter Rifle

The Tenloss DRX-6 Disrupter Rifle would not be a good idea because it cannot deliver a fatal shot unless it's charged, which would involve looking through the scope and taking the time to charge it, by which time the trooper would see you and get off a round.

The Thermal Detonators take out most enemies when they're in it's blast radius. So, if you threw a detonator that would blow up upon impact, you could take out the trooper instantly.

The Imperial Heavy Repeater has a Concussion launcher, which lobs a ball of energy that detonates upon impact. Although not as powerful as the Thermal Detonator, it's enough to take out standard troopers with one shot.

Finally, the Mind Trick works because once the trooper has been tricked, you can do whatever you want to him. This is in case you want to save ammo by using an alternate weapon and get a better shot, or you could just run by him and he'd be none-the-wiser.

Answer: Thermal Detonators

Let's go with the obvious incorrect answers first. The Tenloss is only good when charged, and you can only do that when looking through the scope (which will disengage if you move). It doesn't have enough power to take out even a trooper with an uncharged blast, let alone a turret.

The Mind Trick only works on the weak minded, like troopers and Mercenaries, not Mechanical units and enemy Jedi.

The Golan Arms fire eight weak flachettes that fan out in an array in front of you. This is one armored turret, not a bunch of weak troopers, so you want accuracy.

You might have used that Imperial Heavy Repeater's Concussion Round, but it would have taken a few shots.

Your best bet is the Detonator. If you charge it (how far you throw it), to max, it should fly in a fairly straight line and explode upon impact, taking out the turret before it could hit you.
4. You run out of the control room and see a squad of troopers coming down the hall. You start running in the opposite direction and manage to dodge their laser blasts until you round a corner. This would be the best place to set up for an ambush. What tactic would you use?

Answer: Trip Mines

Again, the disrupter rifle would be too weak and slow for the situation.

The DL-44 would be slightly faster, but weaker, unless you charged it up, which would increase the time between shots, and even a charged shot isn't always enough to put down a trooper.

The E-11 is a rapid fire weapon, and could eat through the troopers fairly quickly, but the problem with it is that it fires only one round at a time, and you have four enemy troopers advancing on your position.

Finally, the Trip Mines. The Explosives would probably take out all four troopers if they were in close proximity, and if not, would blow back the survivors, stunning them long enough for you to finish the job.
5. As you walk along the hallway, you peer into a small weapons storage room. You restock your ammo and pick up a few more Thermal Detonators, Trip Mines, and Detonation Packs. Also in the room is a small box with glowing green lights. You've seen these boxes before. What do they do?

Answer: Recharge Shields

There are two different boxes you should know about when playing either "Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast" or "Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy". The green ones recharge your shields, while orange ones refill Blaster Packs, Power Cells, and Metallic Bolts. Health refills come in the form of Med Packs, or you could use Force Heal. Your Force Meter refills automatically.

Answer: Set Detonation Packs around the door arch and detonate them when the trooper steps through.

There is no easy way to destroy a heavy trooper. Your best bet is to do as much initial damage to it before it sees you, and then jump around it, attacking it with whatever you have until it's destroyed.

Detonation Packs are a type of explosive that you set and then detonate using a remote. Having multiple detonation packs explode in close proximity to one another would deal a lot of damage to who or whatever got caught in the explosion.

One thing about most games is that you can't just run back to your starting point and call the mission a success, so that rules out running back to your ship.

Answer: Mind Trick

Mind Trick makes the target not see you for a while, but it will wear off eventually (or instantly, if you create a loud noise such as an explosion).

Force Pull would pull the trooper off the ledge and severely hurt him, and stun him long enough for you to finish the job.

Force Lightning is normally meant for large groups, but is just as effective against one trooper as it is against many.

Force Grip is meant for one target only, such as the one you're facing now. It will damage them to the point that they die if you hold them in a grip, or you might decide to let them go, as they do drop their weapons sometimes when being gripped. Beware: weaponless troopers will not do anything while you have your eye on them, but will otherwise look for a weapon to shoot you with.
8. You see an exterior bridge leading to the building your objective is located in. You step out and see a Probe Droid standing by. It notices you before you get a shot of and starts swerving madly. Even with your Jedi honed aim, none of your shots hit. What would you use in this scenario?

Answer: Merr-Sonn PLX-2M Portable Missile Launcher

The Merr-Sonn has a homing capability. You just have to hold the reticle near the target long enough to get a lock (by holding down the secondary fire button), and then releasing. The Rocket will home in on the Probe Droid and destroy it quickly, even if it overshoots the droid, as it can turn on a dime.

The other two weapons are too slow for this situation, and you'd end up wasting a lot of ammo.

The Force Pull would bring the Probe Droid closer, but the droid isn't a living being, and therefore, cannot be pulled to the ground and stunned. It would continue to fire at you and still swerve, and eventually, maybe, fall back into it's original position.
9. You make it to the security room of the building. A sign indicates that there is a large weapons and explosives cache on the other side. However, the door is locked. Knowing that if there's a locked door, then there's normally a key. You exit the room in search of what?

Answer: An Officer

Officers may carry one of two kinds of keys. Door keys, which unlock key doors in the mission, or supply keys, which will open any supply crate, which normally contain Bacta Tanks and Shield Generators.
10. You run back to the security room with your key to find a Dark Jedi standing in your way. You wish you had your Lightsaber. Instead, what would be your next best option?

Answer: Force Lightning

Your best best is probably to use Force Lightning, as it can't be countered. It just drains the shields and health from its targets. Your Force Meter recharges, so you should be able to just run around and not get hit while zapping your enemy as often as possible.

Grip wouldn't work, as the gripped person can easily, if they have Force powers, push or pull at you to make you lose concentration, and even stun you to get a few hits in.

Mind Trick doesn't work on enemy Force users.

Your DL-44 fires too slowly, allowing the enemy Jedi to easily block every shot. Other weapons, such as the E-11 and Heavy Repeated can easily be blocked, and even deflected back at you, by enemy Jedi. The problem with other weapons, such as the Heavy Repeater's concussion rounds, Thermal Detonators, and Missiles, is that they can be Force Pushed away, and even back at you.

Congratulations. You defeated the dark Jedi. You plant your explosives and get clear. You hit the detonator and the base goes up in a massive fireball. Good job. Mission Complete.
