The henchman of indeterminate gender is not in the PC game. The bald man with the long nose is the first one of Count Olaf's henchmen to be encountered. The powdered-faced women are also in Olaf's home but they are encountered later in the game, when the Baudelaires are trying to make bug spray.

The horseradish factory is part of the game. When the Baudelaires first visit Uncle Monty, he gives them an errand to do before their planned trip to Peru. The errand is to go to the horseradish factory to pick up some crates of horseradish.

Klaus is the only Baudelaire to use the grappling hook. He uses it when trying to save Sunny while Violet is occupied with participating in Count Olaf's play, "The Marvelous Marriage". The stilts, which are used in Curdled Cave, are only used by Klaus. All other inventions are used by at least two of the Baudelaires.

There is a meter that shows how much health the Baudelaires have, and if that meter runs out, then that portion of the game must be done again.
