Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. The game is divided into episodes. How many "Lost" episodes are there for your character to explore?

Answer: Seven

They are "Force Majeure", "A New Day", "Via Domus", "Forty-Two", "Hotel Persephone", "Whatever it Takes", and "Worth A Thousand Words".
Just like in the TV series, you start the game off inside an airplane and experience the crash of Oceanic flight 815.
2. The game is rich with easily unlockable achievements that add to your Xbox Live gamer score. In "Castaways' Treasures" you are to photograph all but which of these items in order to score 10 gamer points?

Answer: Desmond's photo

Locke's wheelchair is the first of these treasures I was able to photograph. I found it just off the beach at the start of "Via Domus", episode three. At the start of episode four, "Forty-two", you can finish off this achievement when you find Charlie and Kate relaxing on the beach. Kate is twirling her toy plane (a bit bigger in size than the actual one from the series) as she reclines in front of her tent, and Charlie's guitar is propped behind him while he writes a song.

The game has a total of twelve secret achievements, which can only be discovered in your own gameplay efforts.
3. The game starts off with your character suffering from amnesia.

Answer: True

As you play, you come to realize that your amnesia is causing important survivors to mistrust you. You are suspected of being one of the "Others", and are urged by Kate and Hurley to find your identity. You encounter a mysterious apparition, who you later find out is Lisa, a woman from your past.
4. In episode two, "A New Day", you finally locate your camera and laptop. Where are they?

Answer: inside the front of the airplane, cockpit section

Before you can get to your property, you have to dislodge Jack from the entrance into the jungle. He's blocking the path, for the safety of all the survivors. For the first time since becoming a "Lostie", Jack truly annoyed me. You tell him that Claire's on the beach whining about something and he runs off to attend her.

Then, on first Locke's and then Michael's directive, you make your way to the cockpit section of the plane. This is the place where the plane's pilot became the first victim of the island "smoke monster" in season one. Michael trades with you for a couple of much needed torches so you can make your way through a creepy cave.

After you make it out, you find the plane section you need. Inside you solve a puzzle in order to open the cabinet that has your camera and laptop.
5. Which of the these does Sayid NOT need from your character, in order to allow him access to the Swan?

Answer: you to find Rousseau

Once you find the laptop and discover it doesn't work, you take it to Sayid for repair. He is suspicious of you, but agrees to help. He directs you then to Locke, who should have a battery for you. After a little Locke-related blackmail (learned from your last flashback scenario), he says to meet him out by the hatch. You do, stopping to photograph the "numbers" engraved on its side and the beam of light pouring out of the top.

This gives you 50 gamer points total- Blackmailer (15), Beam of Light (20) and 4 8 15 16 23 42 (15).

Then Locke sends you into another cave to learn more about yourself. You follow your little apparition into the cave, by now you know her name is Lisa. Once inside you find a body that has a compass on it. After allowing Locke to look it over, he helps you out of the cave and gives you a battery.

He also gives you back the compass. Sayid is then found near the back entrance into the Swan, he takes the battery from you, but will not let you inside until you find your name.
6. In episode four, "Forty-two", you find out your character's real name. What is it?

Answer: Elliot

Elliot Maslow is a photojournalist. He and Lisa Gelhorn worked together on the Savo mystery while in Australia. She is the apparition leading your character here and there on the island. In this episode, you get the chance to chat with Charlie, Kate, Hurley, Desmond and Sayid. Desmond and Sun were voice acted by the actual TV series actors.

The rest of the group was voiced well by counterparts, except for Sawyer and Locke's characters.
7. To get through the secret door hidden under the waterfall you need dynamite. Is it true that dynamite is found inside the Black Rock, just like it is on the TV series?

Answer: Yes

This happens in episode five, "Hotel Persephone". After you are done with the hatch, you make your way to the hidden entrance beneath the nearby waterfall. Once there, you realize you have to blow up the door to get inside the secret room. Before you can get the dynamite out of the Black Rock, you have to navigate the black smoke inside the Dark Territory.

Then, you have to get the dynamite past the Other, who's shooting at you from a tree. He's easy enough to avoid on the way to the dynamite, but coming back you cannot run with it, as it is unstable. So, I decided to shoot him in the face, killing him and ridding myself of his trouble.

Inside the Black Rock you can unlock the achievement "Slave" for more gamer points by taking a photo of a skeleton. Once you get BACK past the black smoke and use the dynamite (by shooting it), you unlock another achievement known as "Boom Boom".

As of season four, the room past this blast hasn't been seen on the series.
8. In episode six, which 'Other' shuts down the power so you can cross the invisible electric fence?

Answer: Juliet

Elliot first met both Ben and Juliet earlier in the game, with Ben claiming that Elliot might be "the one". Meeting Juliet here, in "Whatever It Takes", leads Elliot to the flashback containing the truth about his lover Lisa's murder. Initially Juliet claims Elliot murdered Lisa, and tells him that Lisa's body was found in Sydney Harbor just before Elliot boarded flight 815.

The flashback shows Elliot did not kill Lisa, but betrayed her to Savo and it lead to her murder. This electric fence is the same one in the series, where Locke first believed Mikhail was dead.
9. Episode seven is called "Worth A Thousand Words". Elliot is trapped inside which Dharma station, also seen a lot at the start of the series' third season?

Answer: Hydra

Only two are actual stations, Hydra and Looking Glass, both housed partially or totally underwater on the TV series. After Elliot's confrontation with Beady Eyes, Mikhail and Juliet drug him and he awakens in Jack's old holding cell inside the Hydra. After Elliot remembers his betrayal of Lisa, Tom (aka Mr. Friendly) allows him out the room. Elliot then has to collect nine fuses inside the Hydra to activate a door.

Series trivia: Tom is killed by Sawyer in the season three finale, and is later revealed to be gay in the season four episode "Meet Kevin Johnson".
10. How many people Oceanic survivors did Elliot have to kill in the game?

Answer: none

If Elliot had to kill ANY of them, his own escape would have been hard to come by. He needed the help of many of these folks, but most of his interactions were with Locke, Hurley, Sayid, Juliet, Ben, Tom and Michael.

The voice actors did an OK job of talking like our favorite series characters. The only real crossover voices were Henry Ian Cusick (Desmond), Andrew Divoff (Mikhail), Michael Emerson (Ben), M.C. Gainey (Tom) and Yunjin Kim (Sun). Whomever voiced Sawyer was, in my opinion, the worst choice of all picked. The voicing sounded like a southern parody of Josh Holloway's real southern accent.

The game ended for Elliot Maslow in a VERY interesting way. I won't spoil it for you, but if it indicates the future of the series and its ending, people will be talking for days!
