"Mass Effect 2" Quotes Trivia Quiz

Answer: Miranda Lawson

This line was said by Miranda in the opening cinematic of "Mass Effect 2", before we even saw Shepard. In the ellipses, she mentioned whether Shepard decided to save the Citadel Council, or leave them to die, and the repercussions of that decision.

Miranda was voiced by Australian actress Yvonne Strahovski. Strahovski's likeness was also used for Miranda's character model, though Miranda's hair was black instead of blonde.

Answer: The Illusive Man

This line was said by the Illusive Man during his first conversation with Shepard. He was trying to convince Shepard to work with Cerberus to protect human colonies. This line was also featured in the launch trailer for "Mass Effect 2".

"Mass Effect 2" had a few big celebrities voicing its cast. The most notable was probably Martin Sheen, who lent his voice and likeness to Shepard's employer, the Illusive Man.

Answer: Kelly Chambers

In "Mass Effect 2", the Normandy SR2 came with a Yeomen, Kelly Chambers. Chambers was a psychologist, and had profiles on all crew members. She also watched the crew, and would inform Shepard if any of them were distracted (this usually meant a Loyalty mission had opened up). Apart from that, Chambers was Shepard's administrative assistant, and kept track of new messages and updates.

Kelly Chambers was voiced by Cara Pifko.

Answer: Aria T'Loak

This line was said by Aria when Shepard first met her on Omega. Omega was to the rough and tumble Terminus Systems what the Citadel was to civilized Council Space. Omega was violent and dangerous, and the only laws were the ones Aria made, or the ones the gangs enforced on their own territory. Aria let the gangs have some freedoms, but ultimately everyone on Omega bowed to Aria's overarching rule.

Another big celebrity voice actor, Carrie Anne Moss (Trinity from "The Matrix" movie trilogy), voiced Aria.

Answer: Captain Bailey

Captain Bailey was running the Citadel Security in the Zakara ward. When Shepard first made it through security and onto the Citadel, Captain Bailey could be overheard saying this to one of his subordinates.

Fans of the reimagined "Battlestar Galactica" (2004) television series might recognize Captain Bailey's voice as that of Michael Hogan, who played Colonel Saul Tigh.

Answer: Liara T'soni

This line was said by Liara when Shepard first met her on Illium. Poetically, it is the same line Benezia, Liara's mother, said when Shepard first met her in the previous game. In "Mass Effect 2", Liara followed with, "I'll make it simple. Either you pay me, or I flay you alive. With my mind." Obviously Liara was no longer the timid, awkward, reclusive scientist she once was.

Liara was voiced by Ali Hillis.

Answer: EDI

EDI was the artificial intelligence (which were illegal) installed on the Normandy SR2. When the Collectors attacked the ship, she worked with Joker to fix the situation. She got Joker to avoid the Collectors by making him use access tunnels. When Joker complained about going through the vents, she uttered this line. She was still learning humour.

EDI was voiced by Tricia Helfer, who was a main actress on the reimagined "Battlestar Galactica" (2004) television series. On that show, she was also an illegal artificial intelligence.

Answer: Joker

This line was also delivered during the Collector attack on the SR2. In order to save the ship, EDI recommended that Joker unshackle her. With the shackles removed, she would have more control over the ship's systems, and be able to save the Normandy. Organic species distrusted synthetic ones. Even creating an AI like EDI was illegal, but Cerberus still applied blocks to prevent her from becoming too powerful. While unshackling EDI, Joker mused that this was how the enslavement of all organic species would begin.

Joker's likeness and voice were provided by the talented and funny Seth Green.

Answer: Dr. Chakwas

During the Collector attack on the Normandy, the only two people to escape were Joker and EDI. Everyone else was either killed or captured. One of the most notable missing faces was Dr. Chakwas, the Normandy's medical officer. She had worked with Shepard before, on the original Normandy. The number of crew members saved depended on how soon after the Collector attack Shepard launch the suicide mission. If Shepard went right away, most of the crew survived. If Shepard did a few last missions, about half the crew would die. And if Shepard took a very long time, only Chakwas would be left by the time Shepard found the missing crew. Once freed, Dr. Chakwas would say this to Shepard.

Dr. Chakwas was voiced by Carolyn Seymour, who also gave her voice to the Queen of the Locust horde in the "Gears of War" video game series.

Answer: Harbinger

Harbinger said this line to Shepard during the final cinematic of the suicide mission. Harbinger had many ridiculous lines. Sometimes he would try to convert Shepard, or convince Shepard to give up.

Harbinger was one of the largest and oldest Reapers. He was controlling the Collector General, and by extension, all the Collectors. Sometimes he would "assume direct control" of a regular Collector soldier. That soldier would become fully healed, and substantially stronger. At the end of the suicide mission, Harbinger finally released control of the Collector General, just before it was killed by the exploding base.

Harbinger was voiced by Keith Szarabajka.
