Answer: Jarrod

Jarrod was a krogan warlord who fought in the Krogan Rebellions. After the rebellions, Jarrod called a crush (a meeting on neutral ground) at the Hollows, where clan leaders including Wrex and Jarrod argued about the future of the krogan race, Jarrod wanting to fight the council races, despite the krogan lack of numbers, and Wrex wanting to focus on breeding. After it had been established that they would not agree, Jarrod ordered his men to attack Wrex and his men. Wrex managed to kill his father and escape, but his men were slaughtered.

Guld is the leader of clan Weyrloc, Grunt is a tank-bred krogan who can become part of Shepard's squad, and Okeer is the krogan warlord who created Grunt, but who died saving him.

Answer: Padok Wiks

Padok Wiks is a Salarian scientist who is part of the Special Tasks Group (STG). Padok regrets his previous work where he helped decide which species deserved 'uplifting', and is researching a cure for the genophage when Shepard meets him on Sur'Kesh. Padok then travels with Shepard to Tuchanka, in an attempt to cure the genophage.

Jondum Bau is a Salarian Spectre searching for Kasumi Goto. Maelon Heplorn was a previous student of Mordin Solus, who after leaving the STG conducted unethical experiments for Clan Weyrloc in Tuchanka. Major Kirrahe is part of the STG, who helps Shepard on Virmire in the first game, and who Shepard will meet on Sur'Kesh in "Mass Effect 3", if he survived the events of Virmire.

Answer: Widow

Widow is a system, located in the Serpent Nebula cluster. The Widow system is accessible in all three games of the trilogy, and contains The Citadel, a giant space station originally believed to have been created by the Protheans. The Widow system has a single star which has no planets orbiting it, and is filled with thick gas and dust, which makes locating the Citadel very difficult for those without co-ordinates.

The Hades Gamma cluster is accessible in "Mass Effect" and "Mass Effect 3", the Arcturus Stream is accessible in "Mass Effect 3", and the Vallhallan Threshhold is accessible in "Mass Effect 2" and "Mass Effect 3".

Answer: Dahlia

Shepard can encounter Dahlia Dantius in the first game of the series. She is a slaver and runs a pirate base on Sharjila in the Artemis Tau Cluster. Her sister, Nassana, is an asari diplomat who tries to deceive Shepard by claiming that Dahlia had been captured by mercenaries.


Aria is the 'Pirate Queen' of Omega, Tevos is the Asari Councilor on The Citadel, and Rana Thanoptis is an asari working for Saren when Shepard meets her on Virmire.

Heshtok, found in the Kyzil system, is the homeworld of the vorcha, a primitive race who are often considered scavengers by more advanced races. The vorcha have stripped Heshtok of most of its natrual resources, and vorcha clans fight fiercely over basic necessities. Heshtok has a high amount of volcanic activity, with toxic gases often being released into the atmosphere and water suplies. The vorcha are able to survive on such a hostile planet due to their unique biology in having clusters of undifferentiated cells, allowing vorcha to have limited regenerative capabilities and allow rapid adaptation to an environment.

Irune is the homeworld of the Volus, Kahje is the homeworld of the Hanar, and Lihrat is another planet in the Kyzil system.

Answer: Inusannon

It is mentioned by Javik in "Mass Effect 3" that an ancient race called the Inusannon once inhabited Ilos, but were made extinct, presumeably by the reapers, before the protheans inhabited Ilos. It is thought that the statues found by Shepard on Ilos are of Inunsannon.

The Zha'til are another ancient race that Javik mentions. They originated from the Zha, an organic race who implanted themselves with symbiotic Artificial Intelligence (AI) called Zha'til. When reapers arrived, the Zha'til took full control of the Zha's bodies. The varren are quadrupedal omnivores from the planet Tuchanka. The Vorcha are a race of short lived primitive beings, often considered scavengers.

The demolisher is a human engineer class in the "Mass Effect 3" multiplayer.

The Geth are a race of AI's that were created by the Quarians to be workers, but fought against their creators in the Morning War, after the Quarians tried to terminate the Geth. There are many different types of Geth unit, including Sniper Ghost, Hopper, Colossus, Armature, Trooper, Juggernaut and many others.

The League of One was a salarian intelligence service before the salarians joined the citadel council. Special Tactics and Reconnaissance, better known as spectres,are the intelligence operatives of the Citadel Council, which Commander Shepard becomes the first human to join. Cerberus are a human para-military group, led by the Illusive Man, who believe in the advancement and survival of humanity.

Answer: Kwunu

The Kwunu was named after the volus who negotiated their 'client-race' status with the turians. The ship was funded entirely by Elkoss Combine, who then jointly gifted the Kwunu to the Vol Protectorate and Turian Hierarchy. The Kwunu's broadside cannons and main gun are all Thanix Magnetic-Hydrodynamic Weapons, which uses technology taken from the remains of Sovereign after the Battle of the Citadel.

The Nefrane is an asari cruiser names after a lost city in Thessia's south pole. The Normandy is a Systems Alliance starship used by Commander Shepard after he becomes a Spectre. The Destiny Ascension is an asari dreadnought that is the flagship of the citadel fleet.

Answer: Charon Relay

The Charon relay was encased in ice and orbited Pluto before humans discovered it in 2149. Before 2149, people believed the Charon Relay to be one of Pluto's moons. The fist men to go through, led by Jon Grissom, found that it led to Arcturus, where the Systems Alliance eventually made Arcturus Station.

The Alpha Relay is found in the Bahak system of the Viper Nebula. The Mu Relay was thought to be lost forever after a nearby star went supernova, however Shepard is able to find its location from Matriach Benezia and the Rachni Queen on Noveria. The Omega 4 relay, located in the Sahrabarik System, leads to the Collector base, but ships without a Reaper IFF cannot travel through and survive.
