Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. In the first level, 'Operation Chariot', you arrive at St. Nazaire on a boat. What is the name of this boat?

Answer: HMS Cambletown

The SS Bismark was a dreaded Nazi battleship that was never mentioned in the game. The USS Enterprise is a US aircraft carrier, and the HMS Liberty was a British destroyer stationed in the Philippines.
2. During 'Operation Chariot', you must find a lost radioman to call in an air strike. Who is the radioman?

Answer: Captain Beck

Beck is listed on the objectives list and your commander even tells you his name before you go off to find him. For a radioman, Beck is very combative and is sometimes found charging ahead of you to charge to Nazis. Captain Beck is also a real character in real life; he helped call in vital bombings in St. Nazaire.
3. During the second level, 'Raid on St. Nazaire', you must fight a German officer to obtain some documents. Who was the German officer?

Answer: Klaus Mueller

Klaus Mueller was the officer you had to do battle down in the bunker. Fritz and Otto are made up, but Klaus Habershimer is actually the name of the Dutch assassin in the 007 movie, "Diamonds are Forever".
4. One of your objectives in the second level is to destroy the shore gun. How many men were operating this gun?

Answer: Two

One was there to load and one fired it. You can stay back and pick the men off from a safe distance, but if you get too close they will take cover behind the gun and pin you down.
5. During the third level, 'Lights Out in the Port City', you have to fight another German officer to complete an objective. Who is this officer?

Answer: Horst Brenner

Horst Brenner was the officer that you have to chase around the power station. He carries an MP40 and will eat you alive if you get too close.
6. Moving along to the fourth level, 'Escape at Dawn'. Who is the officer you chase around the church?

Answer: Erich Koster

Erich Koster will run you all over the place just so you won't notice the radio tower. Von Schrader is the head honcho that you don't fight until the last level. The other two are bosses from other levels.
7. Pertaining to all levels; how many seconds of continuous fire can be maintained on the MG42 before it overheats?

Answer: 4 seconds

Four seconds may not seem like that long, but you burn up a lot of ammunition in that short period of time. To help the problem of overheating it helps to fire in short bursts rather than to hold down the trigger. MG42s were used by the Germans on all fronts and were one of the most effective LMGs of WWII.
8. During the level, 'Escape at Dawn', you meet up with another squad just on the other side of the bridge. What squad is this?

Answer: Second Squad

If you listen you can hear the commander yell out, "Meet up with second squad over there." Second Squad becomes very useful in this level because they provide covering fire when you are charging the orphanage. In real life, Second Squad won awards for valor for their charge against the orphanage.
9. During the level, 'Escape at Dawn', one of your objectives is to destroy a radio tower. Where is the tower located?

Answer: Church courtyard

There is a hole in the wall of the church that leads out into a courtyard. If you take in your surroundings once exiting the building that the tank gutted, you will notice the tower on the other side of a fence. This tower was a hassle for Allies to take out because it was in the most fortified area of town.
10. Who makes up your squad on the last level, 'Escape at Dawn'?

Answer: Gdsm. Edmunds, Gdsm. Quinn, Pte. Terry

Edmunds, Quinn, and Terry; they were with you through the thick and thin. You may have gotten Gdsm. Edmunds mixed up with Sgt. Edmunds who was the British commando telling you what you had to do throughout the French level. Gdsm. Edmunds was a factual character and unfortunately died in Market Garden later in the war.
