Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What is the name of the world upon which 'Dragon Age: Inquisition' takes place?

Answer: Thedas

Thedas is the same world upon which each 'Dragon Age' game takes place. Nations in Thedas include Ferelden, where 'Dragon Age: Origins' was set, and the Free Marches, where 'Dragon Age II' was set.

During 'Dragon Age: Inquisition', the game primarily takes place in Ferelden and Orlais.
2. The player can choose from four races as their character - human, elf, dwarf and Qunari. The first name can be chosen by the player, not the surname. Which is NOT a surname of one of the four races?

Answer: Cousland

The Cousland surname is from the 'Dragon Age: Origins' game, the first in the series, belonging to the human noble origin story.

Trevelyan is the surname of the human Inquisitor, Cadash for the dwarven Inquisitor, and Lavellan for the elven Inquisitor.
3. Who is NOT a returning character from either 'Dragon Age: Origins' or 'Dragon Age II'?

Answer: Iron Bull

Leliana first appeared in 'Dragon Age: Origins' as a potential companion and also romance for the player character. she also appeared in 'Dragon Age II' in DLCs released.

Varric appeared in 'Dragon Age II' as a companion. He was also the main narrator of the story.

Cullen appeared in both 'Dragon Age: Origins' as a minor character, and then in 'Dragon Age II' in an expanded role.

Iron Bull did not appear in either 'Dragon Age: Origins' or 'Dragon Age II'.
4. Who is NOT a potential romance for the Inquisitor in 'Dragon Age: Inquisition'?

Answer: Leliana

While Leliana could be romanced during 'Dragon Age: Origins', she could not be romanced during 'Dragon Age: Inquisition' (much to the fury of many players!) However, if she had romanced the 'Hero of Ferelden', she would speak of their romance during conversations.

Cullen could be romanced by a female human or elven Inquisitor. Cassandra could be romanced by a male of any race. Solas could only be romanced by a female elven Inquisitor.
5. What organisation does Blackwall represent before and during the Inquisition?

Answer: Grey Wardens

Blackwall is recruited during a mission in a region of the game called the Hinterlands. Claiming to be a Grey Warden, it is later revealed this is false.
6. Hawke was the player character during 'Dragon Age II'. During which main mission did Hawke return in 'Dragon Age: Inquisition'?

Answer: Here Lies the Abyss

'Here Lies the Abyss' is the main mission where Hawke, either male or female depending on previous choices, will make their return in the 'Dragon Age' franchise. It is during this mission that the Inquisitor will journey to Crestwood, the Western Approach, Adamant Fortress, and the Fade.

'The Wrath of Heaven' is the first main mission of the game. 'Doom Upon All the World' is the final mission of the game (excluding after game DLC). 'Revelations' is a personal quest for Blackwall.
7. Who is NOT an optional recruit for the player?

Answer: Cassandra

Cassandra is a non-optional recruit as she is a companion from the very start of the game. Even if you earn her complete disapproval, due to decisions made during the game, she will not leave the Inquisition. Cassandra also appeared as the interrogator of Varric during 'Dragon Age II'.

Iron Bull, Sera and Cole are all optional companions for the Inquisitor. While these are optional, the game goes out of its way to make sure the player does indeed recruit these players, but the player is still given an opportunity to refuse.
8. Who is the main antagonist?

Answer: Corypheus

Corypheus is first introduced during the 'Legacy' DLC from 'Dragon Age II'.

He is re-introduced in 'Dragon Age: Inquisition', first seen during the main mission 'In Your Heart Shall Burn'. Defeated at Haven, the Inquisition eventually defeats Corypheus during the final mission.

Corypheus is an ancient darkspawn, and was once a human Magister of the Tevinter Imperium. by the name of Sethius Amladaris. He was a High Priest of Dumat. After entering the Golden City, the Maker turned his back on his children, casting Corypheus and the other Magisters down. He was then captured and imprisoned by Grey Wardens until being inadvertently released by Hawke.
9. Which character from 'Dragon Age: Origins' is reintroduced during the mission 'Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts'?

Answer: Morrigan

Morrigan was a companion and potential romance during 'Dragon Age: Origins'. She did not appear, though was spoken of, during 'Dragon Age II'. She first appeared in 'Dragon Age: Inquisition' during the meeting with Empress Celene during 'Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts', after which, she will join the Inquisition.

Anora may appear briefly during 'In Hushed Whispers', depending on certain choices during 'Dragon Age: Origins'. Loghain may also appear in 'Here Lies the Abyss', also dependent on previous choices.

Oghren only appeared in 'Dragon Age: Origins' and its accompanying DLC, 'Awakening'.
10. What is NOT one of three DLCs that was released for 'Dragon Age: Inquisition'?

Answer: Mark of the Assassin

'Mark of the Assassin' was a DLC released for 'Dragon Age II'.
11. Which character said the following: "I've known mages. Some of them were better people than me. And yet I'm free and they're not. It's not right."

Answer: Leliana

Leliana is sympathetic to the mage cause after the events of 'Dragon Age II' that eventually led to the Mage Rebellion and the Mage-Templar War.

If Leliana is chosen as Divine Victoria, she will dissolve the Circle of Magi, which is different to both Cassandra and Vivienne, who will reinstate the Circle of Magi if they are chosen as the Divine.
12. Which character said the following: "Kirkwall's Circle fell. Innocent people died in the streets. Can't you see why I want nothing to do with that life?"

Answer: Cullen

Cullen had certainly been through a lot by the time of 'Dragon Age: Inquisition'. He was present at the Circle Tower on Lake Calenhad in Ferelden, when the mages rose up and killed many templars during 'Dragon Age: Origins'. To escape the memories of what happened there, he journeyed to Kirkwall, joining the Templar Order, and was soon central to events and would join Hawke in battle against Knight-Commander Meredith Stannard.

By 'Dragon Age: Inquisition', he had left his role in the Templar Order, though prior to 'In Your Heart Shall Burn', he will argue for the Inquisition to recruit the templars instead of the mages.
13. What is NOT a possible outcome at the end of the mission 'Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts'?

Answer: Briala Rules Alone

Depending on a number of choices during the mission, there are five possible outcomes:

Celene will either rule alone or rule together with Briala, as the pair are in a relationship, which is mentioned during books written that cover periods between the games.

Gaspard will either rule alone or rule together with Briala in a relationship of convenience.

If the Inquisitor makes all the right choices, he can blackmail Celene, Gaspard and Briala into ruling together as a triumvirate.

In most cases, either Celene or Gaspard will be assassinated or executed if not supported.

In no outcome is it possible for Briala to rule alone.
14. How many years after the fall of Corypheus do the events of 'Trespasser' take place?

Answer: Two years

The events of the 'Trespasser' DLC take place two years after the main game events that resulted in the death of Corypheus.

Divine Victoria (either Leliana, Cassandra or Vivienne) has called an Exalted Council to determine the fate of the Inquisition, which continued to work after the death of Corypheus.

At the end of the main quest of 'Trespasser', the player can make a choice determining the fate of the Inquisition. It is pretty much one of two choices: either join the Chantry in some form, under the guidance of Divine Victoria, or to disband completely.
15. During a post-credits scene after 'Trespasser' is completed, the Inquisitor is shown meeting with Leliana, Cassandra, Scout Harding, and a possible romanced character, around a table on which lies a map of Thedas. At the end, the Inquisitor is shown stabbing a dagger into a section of the map. Into which nation does he put the dagger?

Answer: Tevinter Imperium

In one post-credits scene, Solas is revealed as the Dread Wolf (Fen'Harel) as he meets with Flemeth. Solas had left the Inquisition after the defeat of Corypheus without revealing his true nature.

During the events of 'Trespasser', Solas is finally located by the Inquisitor, who will either call him out on being Fen'Harel or Solas will admit the truth. Solas will then remove the Anchor from the Inquisitor and depart.

In the post-credits scene of 'Trespasser', the Inquisitor stabs the dagger through the Tevinter Imperium. Interestingly enough, there is also a place, whether a town or something else, called Solas on the map near where the dagger is placed.
