Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. In "Dragon Age: Origins", you can play multiple origin storylines depending on your race, background, and class. Which is *NOT* one of the origin stories you can play?

Answer: Dwarf Commoner Mage

With Dwarves being mostly cut off from the Fade (dream world), their bodies are naturally resistant to magic and therefore unable to cast even the simplest spells. There is one dwarf in Orzammar who takes a strong interest in magic, though.
2. In "Dragon Age: Origins", you encounter Morrigan very early in the storyline, in the Kocari Wilds. You also meet her mother. What is her mother's name?

Answer: Flemeth

Flemeth, or the Witch of the Wilds, lives in a hut in the Kocari Wilds near Ostagar. Leliana is a Chantry Rogue and potential party member. Anora is Logain's daughter and Cailan's widow. Isabela is a duelist first introduced at The Pearl.
3. In "Dragon Age: Origins", there are many sidequests to help you build experience and earn special items. What percentage of side quests must you complete to get the "Easily Sidetracked" achievement?

Answer: 75%

There are more than 100 side quests (108 from what I counted, not including premium content). Side quests range from assassinations to helping mothers find their lost children.
4. In "Dragon Age: Origins", drakes can usually be found near dragons. How many drake scales do you need to give to Wade's assistant in order for Wade to make you armor from them?

Answer: Three

The good news is, in the Ruined Temple you can collect at least six drake scales. The first set of armor Wade makes is flawed, but still effective. The second set he makes you is much better. You can even defeat the dragon on the mountain top and use that scale to have Wade make you Dragon armor, which is even better than drake armor.
5. In "Dragon Age: Origins", a bordering nation to Ferelden conquered them but was eventually defeated thirty years before the story begins by Cailan's father, King Maric. What nation, modeled after medieval France, was this conquering force?

Answer: Orlais

Loghain, Cailan's father-in-law, has a severe disdain for Orlais that prompts him to somewhat ignore the Blight of darkspawn. Leliana's mother was from Ferelden but was raised in Orlais.
6. In "Dragon Age: Origins", dwarves do not have religion, per se. Instead they honor their ancestors, particularly those who have done something to further dwarven civilization. What are these dwarves called?

Answer: Paragons

Templars are knights of the Chantry that keep mages from abusing their magic. Orzammar is the city in Ferelden where the dwarves live. The Casteless Dwarfs are those members of dwarven society that are at the bottom of the caste system, similar to the "Untouchables" in the Hindu tradition.
7. In "Dragon Age: Origins", the Urn of Sacred Ashes is said to be able to cure even the most heinous diseases. Whose ashes are supposedly in the urn?

Answer: Andraste's

Andraste, supposed wife of The Maker, is said to have been cremated. Followers of The Maker and revelers of Andraste would love to find the urn and worship it as a religious icon (with similar connotations to Christianity's Holy Grail).
8. In "Dragon Age: Origins", a certain type of potion must be consumed to quickly replenish mana (magical ability). What naturally occurring substance is the main ingredient in these potions that give mages their trademark abilities?

Answer: Lyrium

Lyrium runs throughout the Fade and the Deep Roads near Orzammar. Nature Salve protects from nature damage. Tiberium was the harvested substance in the "Command & Conquer" video games. Fade Poultice does dot exist.
9. In "Dragon Age: Origins", runes can be used to add additional hit bonuses to weapons, including spell resistance, additional types of damage, or even increase the chance for target paralysis. Which level of rune adds the most bonus to a weapon?

Answer: Grandmaster

For example, a Journeyman Fire Rune adds 2 points of Fire Damage, Expert adds 3 points, Master adds 4 points, and Grandmaster adds 5 points. The Cold Iron rune sets increase damage against the darkspawn creatures, and can come in handy when exploring the Deep Roads.
10. In "Dragon Age: Origins", based on the character's first nightmare after becoming a Grey Warden it becomes obvious that he/she will eventually face the Archdemon. In which Ferelden city does this final battle occur?

Answer: Denerim

The final battle takes place on the tower at Fort Drakon in southwest Denerim. I won't reveal any spoilers here because each outcome differs based on your character, your party members, and the choices you make throughout the game.
