Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Blue Rescue Team Quiz

Answer: Are you a boy or a girl?

All of these questions except "What Pokemon would you like to be," are asked. There are also bizarre questions like, "If a hand reached out of a toilet, what would you do?" These questions are asked to determine your type (i.e. hardy, docile, etc.) and that determines what Pokemon you'll be.

Answer: Jigglypuff

Surprisingly, the very popular Jigglypuff, is not a choice of what Pokemon you can become. The other choices are Pikachu, Psyduck, Eevee and all three starters from the Pokemon games.

Answer: Butterfree

You will also eventually help Jumpluff and Dugtrio in your adventures. Butterfree's baby is obviously a Caterpie but when Buttefree tried to help it wild Pokemon attacked it. Therefore, it's up to you and your partner to go down and rescue the scared Caterpie.

Answer: Tiny Woods

Tiny Woods, like its name implies, is a very small dungeon. You will fight through Pokemon such as Wurmples and Pidgeys on your quest to rescue the lost Caterpie. Other dungeons you'll encounter are Thunderwave Cave and Mt. Steel to name a few.

Answer: a job offer

The house you stay in reflects your Pokemon's type. For example, if you are a Psyduck or a Mudkip, you stay in a house surrounded by a small moat and you have a blue mailbox. Shortly after opening the Rescue Team Starter kit, Pelipper will drop by and put a rescue job offer in your mailbox which involves you going to Thunderwave Cave in order to rescue two Magnemites.

A rescue team badge allows you to transport Pokemon who need help out of dungeons once you find them. A toolbox holds all of your items. Pokemon news gives you basic information about being a rescue team.

Answer: Elekid

Elekid is the baby form of Electabuzz which you may encounter on Mt. Thunder. You may also encounter Voltorbs, Rattatas, and Poochyenas. On the bottom floor you'll see two Magnemites stuck together which is not enough to form a Magneton.

Answer: Caterpie

The Caterpie you rescue will appear in the Whiscash Pond area. Lombre, Snubbull, and Bellsprout will just talk to you or tell you what's going on.

Answer: Whiscash

All of these Pokemon appear in Pokemon Square, but Whiscash does not manage a building. The store is managed by two Kecleon which have different items each day. The one on the left sells normal items where the Kecleon on the right sells TMs and Orbs. Below them is a Kangaskhan who will store items for you when your Toolbox gets too full and the items will never be lost. Gulpin lets you link moves, which is using two moves at the same time, and lets you remember moves you've previously forgotten. Persian owns the bank in which you can store and save up your Poke which is a good idea because if you faint you lose all your money. Directly next to that is Wigglytuff's Friend Center, which won't appear until later. You can buy areas of land so you can recruit friends to join your rescue team. If you go down you encounter the Makuhita Dojo in which you can level up your team. If you go up you go to Whiscash Pond and if you go to the right you find the Pelipper Post Office in which you can send letters or check for job offers on the bulletin board.

Answer: Mt. Steel

You have to go to all of these in order to fulfill a story mission. Mt. Steel is occupied by such Pokemon such as Spearow, Geodude and Aron to name a few. Mt. Steel is nine stories tall and ends at a giant cliff.

Answer: Skarmory

Skarmory is a Steel/Flying type and it's a pretty easy boss since it is your first one. Skarmory kidnapped Diglett because it couldn't sleep at night because it thought that the Diglett and its family were causing the earthquakes. Skarmory also appeared in the first episode of the "Mystery Dungeon" series on TV but in that episode it captured Pikachu.

Answer: Blast Seed

These items are used to throw at enemies to damage them. Skarmory being a Steel/Flying type would be weak against Fire and a Blast Seed is fire elemental. A Sleep Seed would just put Skarmory to sleep letting it be unable to attack for a while. A Hurl Orb would only do one hit point of damage.

A Gravelrock is good against Skarmory too but it is not as effective as a Blast Seed. Also when you rescue Diglett there is a funny scene, in where Diglett says he couldn't move his own two feet. Your partner and the Magnemites are confused wondering if the Diglett actually has feet or not.

Answer: Magnemite

The Magnemite from Thunderwave Cave comes back to help you. He resides in the Power Plant which is in the Ruins friend area. When you fight Pokemon in dungeons some will ask to join your rescue team if you have their Friend Area. Also whenever you get a new friend you can give them a nickname.

The first three Friend Areas are free but after that you have to buy Friend Areas from Wigglytuff. You can only bring you, your partner, and one of your friends in most dungeons. You can also recruit one friend on your team in a dungeon, but if they faint they run away and do not return.

However, friends you've already recruited before entering the dungeon will just return to their Friend Area and not go away forever.

Answer: Gloom

A Jumpluff is asking Shiftry's team, which is a Shiftry and two Nuzleafs, to help its friend. However, Shiftry's team does not work unless they're paid royally. Shiftry however, will accept it later when Alakazam's Team comes along and later on Shiftry will need to be rescued himself.

Answer: Feraligatr

Feraligatr is on another team with Blastoise that is designed to put out forest fires. Alakazam is the leader of the team and is said to have an IQ of 5000 and remember everything that happened in the world. Charizard's Flamethrower is said to be able to melt mountains and the Tyranitar takes pride in his plated tough armor.

This is the first time you'll encounter this team but not the last.

Answer: Team Meanies

You can first see the leader of this team Gengar, when Team Alakazam enters. Ekans and Medicham make up this team also. Team Meanies is an evil trio who pretends to be a rescue team but what they really want is global domination.

Answer: Mankey

Team Meanies also appeared in the first episode of "Mystery Dungeon" for TV. However, even though they may seem tough all off these Pokemon have a weakness to psychic type moves. Ekans is a Poison type, Gengar is a Ghost/Poison type, and Medicham is a Fighting/Psychic type.

Answer: Metapod

The Pokemon you rescued on your first mission was Caterpie so it makes sense that its friend would be Metapod. When you get near the top of Sinister Woods, Team Meanies comes to stop you since they want to get paid for rescuing Metapod. Team Meanies can be tough if you don't know what you're doing. You want to try to disable Gengar with a Sleep Seed or paralysis so that he can't use Curse or Spite. Curse will continually hurt you and Spite will drain all of the PP of the move you just used. Once you defeat them, you get to rescue Metapod.

Answer: nothing

Caterpie doesn't have any Poke or any items, so sadly you don't get anything for this tough mission unless you managed to recruit a tough Pokemon such as Scyther or Exeggutor. From now on you can see Caterpie and Metapod playing at Whiscash Pond.

Answer: stomachache

Your partner is scared of the monster, and you have a choice to go along with his stomachache or tell the truth. Either way, you still have to go into the Silent Chasm.

Answer: Zapdos

Zapdos is the legendary bird of lightning that could be found in the Power Plant in the Kanto Region. You can go straight on to Mt. Thunder to challenge Zapdos, but it would be wise to level up first. You can be sure that Zapdos is not going to make rescuing Shiftry easy!
