Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. "Need for Speed: Most Wanted", like other games in the series, features marketing from different brands. If you drive around the game, you may see a brand name of something advertised. Which of the following is NOT advertised in this game?

Answer: Best Buy

As you're driving down the main highways of the game, you will see many billboards with advertisements on them from various brands, including Castrol and Axe. There is a Burger King in the game, and in fact, by using a secret code, you can access a special race known as the Burger King race. Best Buy was advertised in "Need for Speed: Underground 2", but is not in this game.
2. Emmanuelle Vaugier plays Mia Townsend.

Answer: False

Mia Townsend is portrayed by actress Josie Maran, and helps you throughout your adventure by setting you up with a safe house and giving you other tips. Emmanuelle Vaugier is actually featured in this game's sequel, "Need for Speed: Carbon," portraying Nikki.
3. Which actor portrays Clarence "Razor" Callahan?

Answer: Derek Hamilton

Derek Hamilton portrays "Razor" to perfection in this game and has made several appearances on TV shows such as "Psych" and "Traveler." He starred in the 2006 made-for-TV movie "To Have and to Hold" with Justine Bateman and has also appeared in movies such as "Disturbing Behavior" and "Out Cold." The other three choices also appear in this game. Paul Dzenkiw plays Ronald "Ronnie" McCrea, Kevan Ohtsji plays Toru "Bull" Sato, and Dean McKenzie plays Sergeant Cross.
4. When Sergeant Cross first traps you and accuses you of street racing, he takes his key and scrapes a line of paint off of your car. What does he say after he does this?

Answer: "Nice pinstripe."

Sergeant Cross, portrayed by Dean McKenzie, is only doing his job, but he's portrayed as the secondary villain in the game, next to "Razor." He loves to antagonize you and sometimes even takes part in the pursuits against you when your heat level gets too high. Throughout the game, he will call you and leave some, quite frankly, comical messages.

He also appears in "Need for Speed: Carbon" as a bounty hunter.
5. Mia Townsend isn't your only friend. What is the name of the guy that hooks you up with car shops and parts stores?

Answer: Rog

Rog, which I can only assume is short for Roger, meets you near the beginning of the game and says the underground let you loose (in reference to the "Need for Speed: Underground" games). You then race him and two others and after you win, he says he'll see you around. Later, he hooks you up with some buddies that you can buy new cars from or get performance and visual upgrades from. Neville is a character in "Need for Speed: Carbon," played by Chris Gauthier.
6. Finish the quote that "Razor" proclaims: "First I'm gonna take your ride..."

Answer: "...and then I'm gonna take your girl."

One of the more memorable quotes from the game, "Razor" says this, then adds, "Get ready for that." He races you one-on-one and cheats by having his cronies cause your car to leak oil. He wins, which means, by stipulation, he wins your ride. After he says, "Bus stop's that way, champ," he runs away from the cops and later uses your car to skyrocket to number one on the Blacklist.
7. Victor "Vic" Vasquez calls you when he's ready to race you.

Answer: True

"Vic" is one of only about two or three Blacklist racers that actually do this. Otherwise, Rog tells you it's time to race. "Vic" drives a Toyota Supra, which is a car you should try to get the pink slip for. With the right adjustments, it could last you until you (hopefully) win the Porsche Cayman S from "Baron."
8. You're racing through Camden Beach and hear these lyrics blasting from your radio: "I'd run away tonight with my mind still intact. I'm gonna make it, alright. Easier said than done with no place to hide and no place to run." Which song from this game's soundtrack are you listening to?

Answer: "Blinded in Chains" by Avenged Sevenfold

Certainly, all four of the choices are featured in this game, but the lyrics in question are from "Blinded in Chains," a song from the 2005 Avenged Sevenfold album "City of Evil." "Need for Speed" has always been known for producing solid soundtracks for their games, but the soundtrack for this game is among the greatest.

The GameCube version of this game features shortened versions of some songs due to disk size.
9. Which band is NOT featured in this game's soundtrack?

Answer: Eagles of Death Metal

Mastodon's "Blood and Thunder" is featured in the soundtrack, as well as Bullet for My Valentine's "Hand of Blood" and Disturbed's "Decadence." However, Eagles of Death Metal's "Don't Speak (I Came to Make a BANG!)" is featured in "Need for Speed: Carbon."
10. What is the name of the city that the game takes place in?

Answer: Rockport

Rockport City is a very large city, consisting of a boardwalk, various interstates and highways, parks, and many other attractions. Most of these attractions can be used as pursuit breakers throughout the game. By running into something, it will be destroyed and either take out cops or force them to pull over and pick up the mess. Good times all around.
