Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. The first island you meet is Knot Island, one of three islands accessible with the Tri-Pass. Here you will find the Pokémon Net Center, a giant Pokémon Center with a trading machine that allows long-distance trading which region(s)?

Answer: Hoenn & Orre

With the use of a game link cable (and, of course, the Pokémon Net Center), trading between "Pokémon FireRed" and "LeafGreen" and "Pokémon Colosseum/XD" is possible. Just connect the game link cable to both the Gameboy Advance SP and the GameCube with the "Pokémon Colosseum/XD" game. However, one must have defeated Master Greevil ("XD") or Cipher Head Evice ("Colosseum").
2. Next second island is Boon Island. Boon Island is a considerably small island, with only Cape Brink as a somewhat important landmark. Boon Island is the home of the Market Stall, which holds many rare items. Which of these items does the Market Stall not sell?

Answer: Net Ball

The items the Market Stall sells changes to certain in-game events. For example, the Timer Ball, Repeat Ball, and the Lava Cookie all become available after the Ruby and the Sapphire are retrieved and given to Celio. Lemonade and Moomoo Milk become available after you beat the Elite Four. The Ultra Ball and Soda Pop become available after saving a little girl from a Hypno in Kin Island.
3. The last of three islands accessible with the Tri-Pass is Kin Island. Kin Island houses the Berry Forest, where you must save a girl who got lost in the forest. What is the name of this girl?

Answer: Lostelle

Lostelle is the daughter of the man who runs the Game Corner on Boon Island. Her name has a hidden meaning, the first part of her name (Lost) hinting to how she was lost in Berry Forest and the second part of her name (Elle) being the french word for "she".
4. The fourth island is Floe Island. Of all the islands, Floe Island is arguably the smallest island in area (with the exception of Birth Island and Navel Rock). However, it houses a somewhat notable figure of Kanto. Who is this person?

Answer: Lorelei

One odd trait of Lorelei is that she collects Pokémon dolls. If you should visit her house, you will see that it is filled with Pokémon dolls. A little girl you meet even admits sneaking into her house to look at them!
5. Chrono Island is the fifth island. In the south part of Chrono Island lies Memorial Pillar, where a trainer grieves over his lost Onix. He asks of you to put Onix's favorite drink on its grave, and in return, he will give you TM42 (Facade). What is this drink?

Answer: Lemonade

The actual pillar at Memorial Pillar was meant to look like Onix's tail. The trainer's Onix nicknamed his Onix "Tectonix" (most likely a reference to tectonic plates).
6. Sixth up is Fortune Island. Altering Cave can be found on this island, and at first it seems like a useless cave full of Zubats. But, with the use of the Mystery Gift, rare Pokémon can be found here. Which of these Pokémon are not found in the cave?

Answer: Gligar

The following Pokémon are found in Altering Cave: Zubat, Mareep, Aipom, Pineco, Shuckle, Teddiursa, Houndour, Stantler, and Smeargle. Gligar can be found in the Safari Zone in "Pokémon Emerald", but only after defeating the Elite Four.
7. The last island is Quest Island. Quest Island is the ONLY place in Generation III that a certain Pokémon can be found at. Which Pokémon is it?

Answer: Larvitar

Despite the fact that Larvitar can only be found in the wild here, there is another way to get a Larvitar. In "Pokémon Colosseum", you can get a Larvitar via trading Wooper to Duking.
8. Navel Rock, the eighth island, is only accessible with the AuroraTicket.

Answer: False

The AuroraTicket is used to get to Birth Island. Navel Rock is actually available with MysticTicket.
9. The final island is Birth Island, home of the legendary Pokémon Deoxys. Its form differs between versions. Which form does Deoxys take in "Pokémon FireRed"?

Answer: Attack Forme

Deoxys takes on the Normal Forme in "Pokémon Ruby" and "Sapphire". Deoxys uses the Speed Forme in "Pokémon Emerald". Deoxys appears in the Defense Forme in "Pokémon LeafGreen".
10. The Sevii Islands house many legendary Pokémon. How many legendary Pokémon are there in the Sevii Islands?

Answer: Four; Moltres, Ho-Oh, Lugia, Deoxys

Moltres is found on Mt. Ember (Knot Island). Ho-Oh and Lugia are both found on Navel Rock. Deoxys is found on Birth Island.
11. The music accompanying some of the islands some similar to music found in the Johto region. What kind of music can be hear in Four Island and Five Island? (Note: The music is only heard in the numerical parts of the islands, so Floe Island is instead referred to as Four Island.)

Answer: Azalea Town/Blackthorn City

The Violet City/Olivine City music is heard in Six Island and Seven Island. The Route 42, 43, and 44 music, along with the Lake of Rage music, is heard in routes from Chrono, Fortune, and Quest Islands.
12. Ferries on Vermillion City brings you to the Sevii Islands. What is the name of this ferry?

Answer: Seagallop ferries

The Seagallop ferries are only available for use in "Pokémon FireRed" and "LeafGreen". Navel Rock and Birth Island are accessible in "Pokémon Emerald", but you must use the S.S. Tidal to get there.
13. The Sevii Islands are made up of many separate places and routes. How many places and routes are there? (Note: Whole places like Knot Island doesn't count, but smaller places like One Island do. Navel Rock and Birth Island also do not count.)

Answer: Thirty-five

Boon Island and Kin Island hold two places and routes. Knot Island holds four. Kin Island holds five. Chrono Island and Quest Island hold seven. Fortune Island holds the most places, seven places and routes.
14. According to an old woman on Quest Island, why are the Sevii Islands REALLY called the Sevii Islands?

Answer: It was made in seven days

The old lady also states beforehand that people often conclude that the Sevii Islands are called the Sevii Islands because there are seven islands. There are actually nine islands, as Navel Rock and Birth Island count.
15. Which region are the Sevii Islands in?

Answer: The Sevii Islands

Contrary to popular belief, the Sevii Islands are actually south of Kanto. The Japanese name of the Sevii Islands is Nanashima (AKA The Nanashima Region).
