Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. In a cave in Winterhold Hold, there is a upside-down skeleton with a glowing sword uder it. What does this refer to?

Answer: "Star Wars"

The cave is Bleakwind Basin in Winterhold Hold. The skeleton represents Luke Skywalker, the sword his lightsaber, the frost trolls the monster, and Skyrim, Hoth.
2. The guards say, "I used to be an adventurer like you, then I took an arrow in the knee." What Easter egg does this refer to?

Answer: There are no greaves in Skyrim.

The statement refers to the fact that Skyrim lacks greaves. I think there was an old arrow in the knee joke. The other two were made up.
3. In the middle of Whiterun Hold, there is a pond with a skeletal arm with a sword in its hand. What Easter egg does this refer to?

Answer: King Arthur

The sword refers to Excalibur, and the hand refers to the Lady of the Lake. The Lady Stone is close to it, making it a bigger coincidence. The sword is not unique. It is just an old Dwarven or Ebony sword that isn't even enchanted.
4. Northwest of Karthwasten, there is a small and narrow canyon. One one side, there is a skeleton. On the outside, there is a saber cat with a sword in its mouth. What does this refer to?

Answer: "300"

The skeleton represents Leonidas at the age of 15, the saber cat represents the wolf, and the sword refers to Leonidas' spear. The land of Skyrim represents the bitter cold of the place when Leonidas killed the wolf in the narrow area.
5. At the very, very tippy top of the Throat of the World, the tallest mountain in Skyrim, there is a unique weapon; a pickaxe. It is called the Notched Pickaxe. What egg does this refer to?

Answer: "Minecraft"

Markus "Notch" Persson is the creator of "Minecraft", and the pickaxe, well, refers to mining, hence, "Minecraft". It was kind of a givaway, since the other three answers were pathetic.
6. In Endon's house in Markarth, in the back room, there is a shelf that has a sliced goat cheese on the left, three garlic cloves in the middle, and glow dust on the right. What Easter egg does this refer to?

Answer: Pac-Man

The cheese refers to Pac-Man himself and the garlic represents the pacs. The glow dust is the larger dot that lets Pac-Man consume the ghosts.
7. In a dungeon, there is a fox named Pumpkin. What does this refer to?

Answer: Dog-like animals in other games

It refers to other dog-like animals in other games, previous Bethesda games, actually. In "Fallout 3" there is a vicious dog named Pumpkin, and in "Oblivion", there is a hostile dog in a cave northnorthwest of Leyawiin, in the bandit leader's tent.
8. In Alftand, a Dwemer ruin where the Elder Scroll is, there is a Khajiit named J'darr, and he is hostile. If you get really close to him, you'll hear him say, "What's this? Another one of the smoothskins looking for food?!" What does this refer to?

Answer: "Fallout"

In "Fallout" games, you'll hear Ghouls call humans smoothskins. Ghouls are zombie-like people with irradiated skin. They are healed by radiation and feral ghouls will attack any smoothskin on sight.
9. During the Battle of Whiterun, you will likely see Hadvar or Ralof. At the end of the battle, whichever one is there will tell you that he thinks he killed more than you since he was counting. What's the Easter egg?

Answer: "Lord of the Rings"

In "Lord of the Rings: Return of the King", Legolas and Gimli always want to compare their kills, and they do contests against each other. The other answers have nothing to do with this exact thing.
10. You will hear guards occasionally say, "Let me guess, someone stole your sweetroll?" What is the Easter egg refering to?

Answer: Early "Elder Scrolls" Games

In the early games of the "Elder Scrolls" series, you would be asked of your sweetroll being stolen. The original "Fallout" games were also a reference. I found this out thanks to "antiriku930", so thank you. I originally thought the reference of the Easter egg was from "Fallout 3", because on your tenth birthday, Butch tries to steal it from you.
