Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. How many playable characters are there in the original game?

Answer: Twelve

They are Yoshi, Mario, Link, Samus, Captain Falcon, Donkey Kong, Ness, Kirby, Luigi, Jigglypuff, Pikachu, and Fox. They have been fighting since the beginning.
2. Which word completes this following quote? "5, 4, 3, 2, 1... _____"

Answer: Time!

This is said by the announcer when there is only five seconds left in a timed match. That means it's your last chance to score a KO, so do it quickly.
3. The time limit for the Home-Run Contest is twenty seconds.

Answer: False

It only has ten. The Home-Run Contest debuted in "Super Smash Bros. Melee" as one of the stadium games. The object is to attack the Sandbag as many times within the time limit. The total distance is determined by how far the Sandbag will travel.
4. Master Hand is voiced by the same person as the announcer.

Answer: True

They are Jeff Manning ("Smash Bros."), Dean Harrington ("Melee"), Pat Cashman ("Brawl"), and Xander Mobus ("for 3DS/for Wii U"). Master Hand is the final boss of Classic mode in every installment.
5. Can you do a Final Smash in "Super Smash Bros. Brawl"?

Answer: Yes

Of course you can do that. Once a player has a Smash Ball, then it's time to unleash it. The Final Smash returned in "Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS/for Wii U".
6. If the score is tied when the timer runs out, then the match will go to a Target Blast showdown.

Answer: False

You can't have Target Blast during a standard match. You play it in the Stadium section in "Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS/for Wii U". Sudden Death is the tiebreaker.
7. How many points can you earn for a Perfect Bonus in Target Blast?

Answer: 30,000

You must take out all of the red targets to collect the bonus. You can attack the bomb and make sure you have all of them within two rounds.
8. Which of these songs does NOT appear in the Green Hill Zone stage?

Answer: "Jogging/Countdown"

That song belongs in the Boxing Ring stage in "Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS/for Wii U". The Green Hill Zone debuted in "Sonic the Hedgehog" back in 1991 and is now an official stage in "Super Smash Bros. Brawl".
9. The Poke Ball summons a Bob-omb when thrown to the arena.

Answer: False

The Poke Ball is a standard item since the very first "Super Smash Bros." game. When thrown, a Pokemon will appear. Try it out.
10. Which of these characters does NOT appear in "Super Smash Bros. Melee"?

Answer: Bowser Jr.

Bowser Jr. is Bowser's son and is a playable fighter in "Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / for Wii U". He fights with his Junior Clown Car. He may be young, but he fights with honor.
