In the years after Sebastian's escape from Beacon, he not only loses his daughter in a horrible house fire, but splits up with his wife, Myra, and descends into a spiral of self-deprecation, binge-drinking, and depression. The game picks up when Castellanos is given an opportunity, from double agent Juli Kidman, to help MOBIUS, a shady agency, re-enter STEM and locate his daughter's consciousness.

As it turns out, she never died in the fire, and he might be the only one who can save her and their project.

He accepts the offer, of course.

Answer: Union

After Sebastian reenters the world of the STEM, he's left off in the professional office of his mind and then asked to make his way to Union, the constructed town within this version of the STEM where his daughter is supposed to be. While Kidman communicates to him via a comm device, he is expected to locate Mobius forces, missing in Union, and connect with them to accomplish the goal.

This starts with O'Neal, whose safe house is the perfect place from which Sebastian can begin locating clues and unlock the truth behind what happened in the town.

Answer: Field crafting

Although in the first "Evil Within" game, Sebastian levelled up his specific weapons the same way that he levelled up his own personal stats, "Evil Within 2" allows him to utilize weapon parts at crafting benches to improve range, accuracy, speed, firepower, and ammo capacity for each non-melee weapon collected.

These can also level up using weapon parts of a higher grade when those are found. The bench is also able to craft ammunition and healing items, but if Sebastian is caught without in Union or elsewhere, the Field Crafting menu can be used (at higher resource costs) to make items on the go.

Answer: Coffee

Often found in safe houses, coffee makers are useful appliances to keep around, especially for a detective on the Krimson City P. D. Drinking from a coffeemaker will restore all of Sebastian's health though health kits/syringes can also do the trick if he happens to have them on-hand and he's not near a machine.

The cups are technically not bottomless though. If he pours a cup, he'll need to wait for another one to brew before he can drink again, and that might not be altogether convenient depending on the situation.

Answer: Red

To access Tatiana's office, Sebastian needs to find the hallway in his own office that contains a chair, and when he sits in it he'll be transported into her realm complete with a wall of lockers and options for upgrading different aspects of play from stamina and health to weapon abilities and stealth tactics. Like in "Evil Within", Green Gel is used to upgrade all facets, but jars of Red Gel can also be found throughout the gam to unlock further tiers of upgrades, much like the high quality weapon parts for the bench.

Answer: Resonances

Early in the game Sebastian will learn that his communicator, while useful for contact with the world outside the STEM, is also important to help him piece together the mystery of what happened in Union. By pressing R at the proper times, he can lock onto nearby Resonances, memories still present in the place of tragedy. Additionally, he can use the communicator to pinpoint important locations in the nearby area, following the signal to points of interest with ease.

These will also be shown on the map.

Answer: Flamethrower

Although the most effective method of killing most foes in the game involve stealthily sneaking up behind them and stabbing them in the head without being noticed, not all cases are suitable for this tactic, so Sebastian can accumulate an arsenal of weapons with which he can take down bigger baddies.

Although some of these, like the pistol and the shotgun, are standards, he can also recollect his Agony Crossbow (and the bolts for it), the powerful magnum, and upgrades for those. The Flamethrower is a late addition which requires pieces to repair a broken frame.

This can, of course, be done at a crafting bench.

Answer: The Marrow

After navigating through Union for a short time, Sebastian will need to go deeper, especially since the town ends up being fragmented by an upheaving, otherworldly quake that splits it into pieces and sends it into the nether. By going to the proper computer terminals within Union, he can transport himself into another plane within the STEM-- The Marrow-- which allows him to take the behind the scenes tunnels created by Mobius to observe the citizens of the town. Of course, it's infiltrated just as much as Union, so it's no safer. That said, it's necessary to go deeper.

Answer: No

This entity seems to come up at the worst times. While Sebastian will face off against many foes-- living, possessed, and dead-- Anima is unique in that her presence will almost always transport him to another place, often the Beacon Medical Facility.

It takes several chapters of the game before Sebastian can rid himself of her by coming to terms with his own guilt an effectively killing that part of himself. Anima can not be killed; she will simply move on to terrorize someone else, draining their life force away.

Answer: Myra

Ultimately, Sebastian will finally hone in on his daughter, locating her in a part of the STEM that's separated from Union, but through the journey he'll come to realize that she's in the care of her mother-- his former wife, Myra-- who entered the STEM to save her.

The STEM will have corrupted her by this point, however, and the final boss battle against 'The Matriarch' will result in her maternal instincts manifesting as a horrible creature. If Sebastian defeats her he can escape with Lily while Myra sacrifices herself and destroys Mobius.

Despite this, however, it seems like something still stirs within the STEM.
