Answer: Vengeful Spirit

Vengeful Spirit's Nether Swap spell lets her immediately swap positions with any targeted hero in range. If her team is chasing down an enemy hero, she can swap them to be closer to the team. She can then follow up with a Magic Missile to stop her targets from fighting back or running away.

She can also use her ability on allies, which can be useful when trying to escape. If she's low health and being chased, she can exchange her position for a healthy ally. Alternatively, if an important ally is in a difficult situation, she can help get them out (often dying in the process). Vengeful Spirit is often played as a support role, so it's often better for her to sacrifice herself to save a more valuable ally.

Answer: Rubick

Rubick's ultimate spell is Spell Steal. He targets an enemy hero, and whatever spell that hero last used will become available for Rubick. This can be devastating when Rubick copies opponent's ultimate spells, and can turn them back on their users.

Answer: Riki

Lots of heroes in "Dota 2" can go invisible, but usually for a set amount of time, or under very specific conditions. Riki is unique in that he will always be invisible until he attacks something. After he attacks, he'll just have to wait a few seconds before he slips back into invisibility. Add in his ability to slow down enemies and stop them from using spells, and Riki becomes quite the assassin.

Answer: Earthshaker

Earthshaker is a very useful hero on any team, with lots of opportunities to stun enemy heroes. One of his most famous spells is Fissure. It creates a temporary line of rock in front of Earthshaker. Any enemies caught in its way are stunned, and the rocks are impassable by anyone.

They can be used to prevent any enemy from running away, or to stop an enemy from chasing Earthshaker or his allies.

Answer: Batrider

Batrider's ultimate spell is Flaming Lasso. He can target an enemy hero and drag them around. The enemies cannot move, attack, or use spells when they are lassoed. This is a great spell for pulling an enemy hero out of position and pouncing on them with the rest of the team.

It's not a bad way to start a team fight, or to prevent a team fight from the other side. Batrider also has the Firefly spell which lets him leave a trail of fire in his wake. Using his lasso and Firefly together, he can drag his targets through the trail of fire for a lot of extra damage.

Answer: Tiny

Tiny starts every game off as a small golem, but his ultimate spell, Grow, makes him bigger, stronger, and slower. By the end of the game he is usually quite large.

Tiny has the Toss ability. He will pick up the nearest unit (hero or creep, ally or enemy), and throw it at a target location, damaging anything near the impact point. Tiny can toss allies towards enemies to start team fights, or toss enemies anywhere he wants to control a fight.

Answer: Nature's Prophet

Being able to move around the map is very important in "Dota 2." Most heroes rely on Scrolls of Town Portal, which can teleport them to any friendly building. Later, Boots of Travel will let them teleport to any friendly unit.

Only Nature's Prophet can teleport to any location on the map, no friendlies needed. This works well with his other ability to create temporary Treant units from trees. He can jump around the map and push in multiple lanes at once, always keeping the enemy team on their toes.

Answer: Lone Druid

Lone Druid's first spell is Summon Spirit Bear. Lone Druid himself is a ranged hero, and a bit softer than his bear. It can be tempting for his enemies to try to take down the Lone Druid, but the bear companion hits hard, and has a lot of health. A good Lone Druid player needs to be able to manage a ranged unit and a melee unit at the same time. Lone Druid's ultimate spell will let him turn into a bear for some time, putting two scary bears on the field at once.

Answer: Invoker

Instead of normal spells like other heroes, Invoker levels up three passive spells called Wex, Quas, and Exort. He can then have three instances of these passive spells on, in any given combination (e.g. Quas + Quas + Wex). Invoker can then use the Invoke spell to give him access to one of ten spells, based on which passive spells he has active.

For example, using Invoke while having Wex + Exort + Exort active will give him access to the Chaos Meteor spell. Invoker can swap between these spells at any time, but can only hold two at any given time. Being able to manage and swap between these ten spells is essential to play Invoker effectively.

Answer: Wraith King

Wraith King's ultimate spell is Reincarnation. If he has enough mana (160) when he dies, he will automatically spend it, and come back to life with full health. This is not too difficult, because two of Wraith King's other three spells are passive, so he won't be dipping into his mana pool often. One way to prevent him from resurrecting is by using a hero like Anti-Mage who can burn away opponents' mana. Wraith King is a difficult hero to fight.

He has a lot of health, deals a lot of damage, and has natural lifesteal (he can heal himself by attacking enemies).
