Garr does not grow up in the game. Ryu and Teepo are very young men when the story begins. After Garr takes Ryu to a temple, Ryu learns about himself and we control him as an adult. We see Princess Nina in her adult form too and Teepo ages when you finally meet up with him again...

Answer: microchip

Evo is a robotic microchip from some remains. He has to find all of his body parts to save Earth from robotic animals.
