Answer: Indigo Plateau

Indigo Plateau is the only location where this item can be bought, and it's great for the final battles of the game. The Max Potion costs $2,500 each, but that's not as costly as the $3,000 Full Restore. Indigo Plateau only contains a Pokécenter, Pokémart, and five trainers. These trainers are the Elite Four and your rival. If we beat all of these, we've beaten the game.

Answer: S. S. Anne

HM01 is most likely the first Hidden Machine we'll acquire in the game (though Flash can also be acquired at this stage). The S.S. Anne will only be docked in Vermilion City for a short time, and once we obtain HM01, it will leave forever. During our trip on the ship, we can battle many trainers and collect many items.

In fact, the S.S. Anne is home to the third battle against our rival. In "Pokémon Yellow, Red, or Blue", we can get an S.S. Anne Ticket from Bill on Route 25. HM01 contains the Cut ability.

Answer: Silph Co.

Silph Co. is the only location to have a ninth floor. In fact, Silph Co. has eleven floors! The Celadon City Department Store only has six floors while Pokémon Tower has seven. Silph Co. is a pretty important location in the game because not only can we get a free Lapras in this location, but Gary, Jessie, and James can be fought in this location in "Pokémon Yellow". Also, we fight Giovanni here! After all of this, we can get rid of Team Rocket in Saffron City and get a Master Ball.

Answer: Game Corner

The Game Corner is the only location in Kanto that will accept Coins, which are used to exchange for prizes and run slot machines. In order to get Coins, we need to search Celadon City for a Coin Case, and then ask around the Game Corner. If we find the hidden switch, we can enter Team Rocket's secret hideout beneath the Game Corner and fight Giovanni for the Silph Scope.

The basements are filled with moving pathways and locked doors, so it may be confusing to move around. If we win big on the slots, we can exchange our coins for prizes such as rare Pokémon or TMs.

Answer: Pokémon Mansion

Although Koffing can only be found in the Pokémon Mansion in "Pokémon Red and Blue", we can't find it anywhere in "Pokémon Yellow". The same applies to Weezing, Koffing's evolved form. The Pokémon Mansion is found on Cinnabar Island, and we must venture into it to find the Secret Key which unlocks Blaine's fire Pokémon gym.

The Pokémon Mansion is filled with fire-type Pokémon and rare items that we can use. In order to enter certain rooms, we must unlock doors by hitting switches found on statues.

Answer: Viridian City

Although Viridian City is the location where we acquire our final badge, it's the second town we'll come across in the game (the first being Pallet Town). This town will also be the first we find containing a Pokécenter and a Pokémart. When we head to the Pokémart for the first time, we'll be given a package to bring back to Pallet Town. Give it to Professor Oak and we'll get our Pokédex, which we'll be required to work on throughout the game. Giovanni is the gym leader of this town, and he's the leader of Team Rocket.

Answer: Fuchsia City

Fuchsia City is the only location where we can obtain this TM because it's one of the gym leader-exclusive TMs. Koga, the master of poison-type Pokémon, will give us the TM for Toxic if we happen to defeat him in the Fuchsia City gym. Toxic has the ability to poison a Pokémon as well as seriously damage it.

It only has 10 PP, and every time it's used, it increases in damage. The attack can be used by various different Pokémon, and it's quite effective against bug-type Pokémon like Butterfree and Weedle.

Answer: None of these

Rapidash can not be caught anywhere in all three games, but Ponyta can be found in the Pokémon Mansion on Cinnabar Island or on Cycling Road in "Pokémon Yellow". Rapidash is a fire-type Pokémon, and is the evolved form of Ponyta. Ponyta evolves into Rapidash at level 40, which is a high level compared to other Pokémon, and is known as one of the fastest Pokémon in the game.

Answer: Saffron City

Mimic is a move that allows a Pokémon to mimic an opponent's previous attack and use it against them. In order to get this, we must buy a Pokédoll in Celadon City and take it to the Copycat in her house in Saffron City. She will then reward us with this rare TM.

This attack is not learned by any Pokémon in the game. In order to talk to the Copycat, we need to get rid of Team Rocket first, so we need to fight at Silph Co.

Answer: Vermilion City

Vermilion City is home to a whole bunch of goodies. In one house, we can trade a Spearow for a rare Farfetch'd. Of course, in "Pokémon Yellow" we can only find Farfetch'd on Route 12 and Route 13, but "Pokémon Red and Blue" feature this enthusiastic trainer.

The Bike Voucher can be obtained from the nearby Pokémon Fan club in the southwest end of town, and a house in the northwest corner of town contains the Fishing Guru who can give us an Old Rod to catch Magikarp. Vermilion City is home to the third gym which houses lighting-based Pokémon.
