"Zaeed - The Price of Revenge" Quiz

Zaeed could be seen the instant Shepard stepped off the Normandy onto Omega. Zaeed explained to Shepard that he was joining the Normandy in exchange for some help settling a grudge; something the Illusive Man had forgotten to mention to Shepard.

Answer: Capturing a batarian

When Shepard first approached, Zaeed was apprehending a batarian for a bounty, beating him for talking out of turn. Zaeed even shot the batarian in the leg when he tried running away. Zaeed met Shepard on the Normandy once he was done turning in his prisoner.

Answer: Starboard cargo hold

Zaeed does not have full dialogue trees when on the Normandy. Instead, he and certain objects can be "activated", and he will talk about his experiences.

Garrus spent most of his time calibrating the guns in the main battery, Jacob tended the weapons in the armory, and Thane liked the relative dryness of the life support room.

Answer: Blue Suns

On Zorya, Shepard learned that Zaeed not only was a former Blue Suns mercenary, but that he actually co-founded the group. He was forcefully removed from the organization by his partner, with a gunshot to the head.

There was some interesting dialogue between Tarak, the leader of the Blue Suns on Omega, and Zaeed, if he was brought along on Garrus' recruitment mission.

The Eclipse and the Blood Pack were the other two major mercenary groups seen in "Mass Effect 2". The Talons first appeared in the "Mass Effect" novels, and later in the "Omega" DLC for "Mass Effect 3".

Answer: Vido Santiago

Vido Santiago was the other co-founder of the Blue Suns. Zaeed organized the troops while Vido took care of the finances. They had a disagreement about admitting batarians into the organization. Ultimately, Vido was the one controlling the money, and he hired six troops to hold Zaeed down to personally put a bullet in his head.

Zaeed somehow survived the ordeal, and made off to be a freelancer. He had an obvious false eye and a large scar on his face. For twenty years, he waited and planned his revenge on Vido.

Answer: Saving refinery workers

Vido had taken control of an Eldfell-Ashland Energy refinery on Zorya, and was using the work force as slave labour. To create a distraction and chaos, Zaeed destabilized the refinery. Parts started exploding, and workers became trapped in the burning buildings. Shepard then had to choose between saving the refinery workers, or taking a more direct route to ensure Vido's death.

Answer: Mantis gunship

Vido made a run for the landing pad across the building, where he could escape on a Mantis gunship. Zaeed and Shepard had to chase him down, potentially being slowed to save the refinery workers. If the workers were ignored, then Zaeed had a chance to kill Vido before he got to the gunship.

Otherwise, Zaeed got to the landing pad just as the gunship was taking off. Zaeed unloaded a full clip into the gunship, even killing one of the occupants, but not Vido.

Answer: Yes

If Shepard chose to save the refinery workers, then Vido escaped on the Mantis gunship. Zaeed would become furious, and his loyalty would not be secured unless Shepard had a high enough Paragon score to use a charm dialogue option.

Other squad members with Loyalty missions that did not guarantee loyalty were Tali, Thane, and Samara.

Answer: Yes

If Zaeed's mission was completed after the Suicide Mission, and Shepard still had at least two other squad members available, then Zaeed could die on his Loyalty Mission. If Shepard saved the refinery workers, Vido escaped, and Zaeed would be angry. An explosion of Zaeed's own making would pin him on the ground near a pool of fuel. If Shepard did not think Zaeed could be trusted, he could be left there to his fate.

Answer: Flamethrower (Heavy Weapon)

Zaeed's whole theme seemed to be fire. The new weapon Shepard acquired was the flamethrower, Zaeed's special ability was Inferno Grenades, and his Loyalty mission was spent running through a flaming fuel refinery. If anyone died at the end of Zaeed's loyalty mission (Vido or Zaeed), it was by being trapped in a pool of fuel that caught fire.

The Phalanx, Mattock, and Geth Plasma Shotgun were all DLC weapons in the "Firepower Pack".
