Locate the Museum Trivia Quiz

The goal is to identify which state or province each of these museums is located in. I've been to each museum, and recommend them as a good way to spend some time. The information is as of June 2002.

Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. The Buffalo Bill Historical Center

Answer: Wyoming

The center is located in Cody Wyoming, about 50 miles east of Yellowstone NP. As of early 2002, there are four museums in the complex, covering the Plains Indians, firearms, western art, and Buffalo Bill Cody's life, all uniformly excellent. Future additions to the complex will be hard pressed to match their quality.
2. Royal Tyrrell Museum of Paleontology

Answer: Alberta

The museum is in Drumheller, about 90 miles east of Calgary. Aside from several complete dinosaur skeletons, they have a really well designed set of displays covering all aspects of the dinosaurs' lives.
3. Kimbell Art Museum

Answer: Texas

The Kimbell is in Fort Worth (not Dallas), and is the best of a set of museums that have been built just west of downtown. The museum is not only known for it's art collection, put together with intelligent use of a large endowment, but for the building that holds the collection, which was designed by Louis Kahn, and is considered an artwork in and of itself.
4. ________-Sonora Desert Museum

Answer: Arizona

The facility is located just outside of Tucson. It's a combination Natural History Museum, Garden, and Zoo. It's also only a few miles from a section of Saguaro NP.
5. The World of Coca-Cola

Answer: Georgia

It's located in Atlanta, and contains everything you ever wanted to know about Coca-Cola.
6. Baseball Hall of Fame

Answer: New York

The museum is in Cooperstown, a small town south of Utica, and it's a scenic drive to and from there. It's all things baseball, and if you're a fan of the sport, this is a treat to visit.
7. Greenfield Village

Answer: Michigan

The open air museum is in Dearborn, close to Detroit, next door to the Henry Ford museum. What makes it unique is that instead of restoring the old section of one city, they have moved historically important buildings from around the country to a central location. Edison's lab from New Jersey and The Wright Brother's bicycle shop from Ohio are just two of the many examples.
8. Air and Space Museum

Answer: District of Columbia

The museum is part of the Smithsonian complex, and is on the National Mall close to the capital. Aside from all kinds of information related to our travels through the skies, the museum holds the history of flight, from the Wright Flyer, through the Spirit of St Louis, to the Apollo 11 command capsule.
9. Williamsburg

Answer: Virginia

Williamsburg is outside of Norfolk. The former Colonial capital has been restored in great detail, complete with well trained people playing the parts of characters from the late 18th century. You get to plunge yourself into the world, not just look at buildings.
10. Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

Answer: Ohio

The Hall of Fame is in Cleveland along the waterfront. They've got a huge amount of memorabilia that can be cool to look at, especially the costumes, but what makes the museum a true pleasure is that there's music around every corner, and if you don't like what's being played, the odds are that you'll like what's being played around the next corner after that.
