1. Victoria and Albert Museum

The V&A, as it is commonly known, is named after Queen Victoria and Prince Albert and is the world's largest museum of decorative arts and design. It houses a permanent collection of over 4.5 million objects which spans 5,000 years.
2. Uffizi Gallery

Answer: Florence, Italy

The Uffizi is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Florence (with notoriously long queues at peak times) and contains the "Birth of Venus" by Sandro Botticelli, "Venus of Urbino" by Titian and the "Adoration of the Magi" by Leonardo da Vinci among many others.
3. Rijksmuseum

The Rijksmuseum is the most visited museum in the Netherlands and houses works by Rembrandt and Vermeer amongst its collection.
4. Hermitage Museum

The Vasa warship sank on her maiden voyage in 1628, and after over three centuries underwater was successfully salvaged in 1961. It is the only almost fully intact 17th century ship ever salvaged, and the museum that was built to display it opened in 1990.

The Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum is situated on the banks of the River Kelvin in the west end of Glasgow. The gallery's exhibits includes works by Rembrandt, Vincent van Gogh and Salvador Dalí.

The Prado is located in central Madrid and its exhibits cover European art from the 12th to the early 19th century. As well as "Las Meninas" by Francisco de Goya, the exhibits include paintings by Diego Velázquez, El Greco, Peter Paul Rubens and Titian.
10. Belvedere Museum

Answer: Vienna, Austria

The museum is housed in the Belvedere palace in Vienna. It houses an extensive collection of Austrian art, including the world's largest collection of paintings by Gustav Klimt.
