1. Bell Rock

This famous lighthouse in Scotland is the oldest sea-washed lighthouse in the world. It takes its name from the rock named Bell where it was built. Bell Rock is also known as Inchcape Rock. It is a very long and dangerous reef off the coast of Dundee.
The construction started in 1807, and the lighthouse was ready four years later.

The lighthouse is situated in Cape Elizabeth, Maine close to Portland Harbour. It is the oldest lighthouse in Maine, and it has been in operation since 1791 and was automated in 1989. The tower is almost 25 and a half meters, and the light has a range of 24 nautical miles.
7. Sambro Island

The lighthouse is situated at the entrance of Halifax Harbour, Nova Scotia. It is the oldest lighthouse in North America still in operation. It was put in operation in 1758, and it was automated in 1988. The height of the tower is 25 meters and the light has a range of 24 nautical miles.
8. Les Eclaireurs

The lighthouse stands on an island in the Beagle channel very close to the city of Ushuaia. It was constructed in 1920, the height of the tower is 11 meters and the light has a range of 10 nautical miles.

This is an ancient Roman lighthouse in north western Spain close to the city of Coruna in Galicia. It was built in the second century most probably on the site of an earlier structure. It was reconditioned in 1791. This is the second tallest lighthouse in Spain and the oldest in operation in the world.
The tower is 55 meters in height and sits on a 57 meter high rock. It is the only Roman lighthouse that is still in use.

The lighthouse is situated on the western tip of the island of Skye. It is in operation since 1909 and was automated in 1990. The tower is 19 meters high and the light has a range of 16 nautical miles. "To the Lighthouse" takes place on the island of Skye.
