Answer: The immediate care given to an injured/ill victim before professional medical help can be administered.

Inspectors look for the official definition for the answer, even though the other answers are part of First Aid.
2. How do you read a U.S. military map?

Answer: Right and up

Right and up is the only one that makes sense if you were having trouble with this.
3. JROTC stands for Junior Reserve Officer Teaching Corps. True or false?

Answer: False

No, it stands for Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps. You do learn teaching skills in JROTC although. Like teaching the younger cadets if you are a older/more experienced cadet to help you learn the material better.
4. Black on a military map stands for contour lines.

Answer: False

Black on a military map stands for man-made object(s). Blue is for water. Green is for vegetation. Red is for major roads/highways. Brown is for contour lines/elevation.
5. In a battalion staff, what is the S-4's job?

Answer: Logistics and Supply

Operations and Training is the S-3's job. Public Affairs is the S-5's job. Medicine doesn't have to do with any Battalion staff job at all.
6. The three Leadership styles are Delegating, Participating, and Directing.

Delegating is giving decision-making authority to subordinates. Participating is involving subordinates in the decision-making process. Directing is instructing subordinates.

Most programs say the creed at beginning of class when after the bell rings. It is also said sometimes at competitions. It shows what a JROTC cadet should be.

The whole Creed is as follows:

I am an Army Junior ROTC Cadet.

I will always conduct myself to bring credit to my family, country, school and the Corps of Cadets.

I am loyal and patriotic. I am the future of the United States of America.

I do not lie, cheat or steal and will always be accountable for my actions and deeds.

I will always practice good citizenship and patriotism.

I will work hard to improve my mind and strengthen my body.

I will seek the mantle of leadership and stand prepared to uphold the Constitution and the American way of life.

May God grant me the strength to always live by this creed.
8. What is the highest enlisted rank a cadet can earn?

Answer: Command Sergeant Major

In the army, a Command Sergeant Major would be a person who has been in the military for a long time, probably about 20 years plus. He/She is usually the trusted righthand person for the commissioned officers. CSM's are sometimes even considered officers.

Answer: False

It stands for Uniform Code of Military Justice.
10. What is the order of the following from largest to smallest: Platoon, Team, Brigade, Company?

Answer: Brigade, Company, Platoon, Team

A team, is the smallest out of anything in the military, let alone JROTC. It is about half of the people in a squad. Brigade is made up of 2 or more Battalions. Company is made of of 2 or more Platoons. A platoon is 2 or more squads.
