To achieve a "maximum score", a Marine would have to do 20 pull-ups, 100 sit-ups, and run a 18:00 3 mile, regardless of age. The MINIMUM pull-up requirements for our Personal Fitness Test (PFT) is 3 for all ages. The minimum sit-up requirement for ages 17-26 is 50, for ages 27-45 it is 45, and for ages 46 and up it is 40. For the 3 mile run, Marines up to age 26 must run under 28 minutes, 27-39 must run 29 minutes, 40-45 must run 30 minutes, and 46 and up must run 33 minutes.
