Soon after Frank Chambers (John Garfield) is hired to help with Nick Smith's (Cecil Kellaway) roadside diner and service station, it's clear that he and Smith's wife Clara (Lana Turner) are heading down the road toward an illicit love affair and murder. Answer: The Kiss
"The Kiss", released in 1896, was a black and white silent film that only lasted 47 seconds; it was also known as "The May-Irwin Kiss" or "The Rice-Irwin Kiss". The film depicts the last scene from the musical stage comedy "The Widow Jones" in which Irwin and Rice starred. This was the first film in which an actual kiss took place between a couple, as well as being one of the first films to be shown in public. As a promotional campaign for the musical, the "New York World" newspaper asked the actors to stage the kiss for the camera. When the film was shown, it caused a completely negative effect as people were shocked and horrified at what they had just seen on the screens, causing negative editorials. In some places they even requested the police to take action against the showing of such a scandalous film. One outraged critic wrote "The spectacle of the prolonged pasturing on each other's lips was beastly enough in life size on the stage but magnified to gargantuan proportions and repeated three times over it is absolutely disgusting."
Needless to say, the film became the most popular film for Edison Vitascope in 1896. The film was selected for preservation in the National Film Registry.

"Breakfast at Tiffany's" was based on a novella by Truman Capote. He did not mince his words when asked what he had hated about the movie: 'Oh God, just everything. It made me want to throw up."
The film was the story of an elegant New York girl, Hepburn, and her relationship with a new man in her life, Peppard.
Hepburn played Holly Golightly, a New York party girl. Her materialistic world changed when a new neighbour, a struggling writer played by Peppard, moved into her apartment block. Romance followed, and the movie focused on how Peppard would, or even could, support Golightly and her love of all things fine and costly, in particular the wares on sale at the expensive jeweller's, Tiffany's.

In the scene of the famous kiss, the dentist, McTeague, decides that it is best to knock out his patient while he works on her teeth. As he continues work, he just can't control his great desire and ends up kissing her. After kissing her he just steps back and continues to work, as if nothing happened.
"Greed" was a silent movie directed by Erich von Stroheim, based on the novel " McTeague : A Story of San Francisco" by Frank Norris. The making of the film has become a Hollywood legend. Von Stroheim made every possible effort to include in the film all the details depicted in the book. The outcome was a ten hour movie costing over $500.000. The studio, made von Stroheim edit the movie to a more manageable length which he did, cutting it down to four hours. MGM still was not happy with the length, and re-edited without the director's permission, coming out with a two and half hour movie.
