1. I am a ShadowClan tom. My mate left her Clan to join mine. Now we have three kits. Who am I?

Answer: Rowanclaw

Rowanclaw's mate, Tawnypelt, left ThunderClan because she could not be herself. She thought the other cats did not trust her. Tawnypelt then left the Clan and joined ShadowClan where her father, Tigerstar, was leader. Their kits, born in "Dark River", are named Dawnkit, Tigerkit, and Flamekit.

2. I was loner called 'Moony' by two kittypets. Then my Clan was saved and I was made a warrior. Who am I?

Answer: Sky/Skywatcher

Sky was named by his mother to remember his Clan, SkyClan. Firestar and Sandstorm journey to a far away land to rebuild this lost Clan. They recruit loners and kittypets and train them as warriors.

3. I am an apprentice. My brother and sister both changed their mentors, but I stuck with mine. Who am I?

Answer: Lionpaw

Lionpaw's sister, Hollypaw, started out as Leafpool's apprentice. She then decided being a medicine cat was not for her, so she became Brackenfur's apprentice. Their brother, Jaypaw, started out as Brightheart's apprentice. He then had many dreams about Spottedleaf, who told him it was his destiny to be a medicine cat apprentice. He then replaced Hollypaw as Leafpool's apprentice.

4. I am a WindClan she-cat. My mate loved two other cats before me. We now have a son. Who am I?

Answer: Nightcloud

Crowfeather first loved Feathertail of RiverClan on the journey to the sun-drown-place. Then Feathertail died on the way back to the forest. Crowfeather then falls in love with Leafpool of ThunderClan. They run away together, but soon return to save ThunderClan from the badger attack. Crowfeather and Leafpool decide they cannot love each other, so Crowfeather goes back to WindClan and eventually falls in love with Nightcloud.

Their son is named Breezepaw.

5. I am ThunderClan tom. My mate and I were captured by Twolegs in the old forest, but we were saved by our Clanmates. Who am I?

Answer: Cloudtail

Cloudtail and Brightheart disappear one day. Then Leafpaw and Sorreltail look for them. Leafpaw is captured by the Twolegs. She is put in the same place as her missing Clanmates, as well as several other Clan cats, rogues, and a kittypet named Cody. All the cats are saved when Squirrelpaw has a dream.

She and a patrol of ThunderClan warriors rescue all the trapped cats, but Graystripe is caught and taken away.

6. I was deputy of my Clan. Now I am in StarClan, killed by my Clanmate. Who am I?

Answer: Redtail

Redtail was killed by Tigerclaw. Tigerclaw hoped to then be made deputy of ThunderClan. However, Bluestar chose Lionheart instead. Then when Lionheart died in a battle with ShadowClan, Tigerclaw was made deputy.

7. My mother was a rogue, but my sister and I joined RiverClan. Who am I?

Answer: Hawkfrost

Hawkfrost and Mothwing's mother is Sasha. Their father is Tigerstar. Mothwing is RiverClan's medicine cat, but she does not believe in StarClan. Only Leafpool and Jaypaw know this. Hawkfrost was as ambitious as Tigerstar. Bramblclaw ended up killing Hawkfrost, fulfilling Leafpool's prophecy.

8. I was a warrior, but now I am the medicine cat of my Clan. My friend and I left our Clan, afraid of sickness. Another cat cured us, then we went back. Who am I?

Answer: Littlecloud

Many ShadowClan cats were dying of a sickness from the Carrionplace. Littlecloud and Whitethroat left, hoping to be given herbs and food. Cinderpelt disobeyed Yellowfang's orders and found a cure for the ShadowClan cats. She showed them the herbs so they could cure their Clanmates. Littlecloud then became a medicine cat apprentice with Runningnose as his mentor.

9. I was a loner. My brothers almost-fatally injured me, so my other brother brought me to a safe place. Then my brother left to find a new home. Who am I?

Answer: Violet

This story is explained in the field guide under "Barley Speaks: Flight From BloodClan". Barley, his sister Violet, and his brothers Jumper and Hoot used to belong to BloodClan. Jumper and Hoot joined Scourge's 'army' and changed their names to Snake and Ice. Barley and Violet disobeyed the rules and shared a den so Barley could take care of Violet, who could not hunt very well.

They got caught, so Scourge ordered Snake and Ice to kill Violet. They cut her stomach, then all the cats left. Barley took Violet to a Twoleg and left her there after making sure the Twoleg took Violet inside the house.

Then Barley ran away. He passed through the Clan territories and settled in the barn, where he now lives.

10. I am a ThunderClan tom. I have belonged to two different Clans. Who am I? (Hint: there are three possible answers)

Answer: Stormfur

Stormfur and Graystripe belonged to ThunderClan, as well as RiverClan.
