This Quiz Is NOT About "Kingdom Hearts"

I love the "Kingdom Hearts" video game, but decided to make a general quiz free of any mention of the game. I failed, however, as each question somehow relates to a keyblade from the PS2 game.

Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. From the Disney film "Aladdin" (note, this is fairly different from the original folk tale), when Aladdin found a magical lamp, what did the being living inside give him?

Answer: Three Wishes

"Aladdin" was released in 1992, and was a Disney animated film. It was based off of the famous story from "The Book of One Thousand and One Nights", though it did vary in quite a few aspects (for one, it had to be kid friendly). When Aladdin rubbed the magic lamp, a blue genie appeared and granted him three wishes. Aladdin used the wishes wisely, and even set the genie free for his third wish.

Three Wishes is a keyblade you get for locking the keyhole in, coincidentally, Agrabah.
2. Strangely, a Chinese guardian called a Shishi is sometimes known as a Foo Dog in the west. This is peculiar, because a Shishi is actually a feline creature. Which of these jungle kings is a Shishi?

Answer: Lion

Shishi, meaning "stone lion", are Chinese guardians that you often find at the entrance of restaurants and other Chinese buildings. They are symbols of good luck and fortune, and are sometimes referred to, erroneously, as "dogs". The lions may not appear like lions familiar to some in modern-day zoos, but this is because the lion was modeled after the Asiatic lion, and not the African lion.

The Jungle King is a keyblade earned by locking the Deep Jungle keyhole.
3. While eating crab, what is generally considered the meatiest part to eat?

Answer: Claws

Crab claws are generally the largest appendage of a crab and contain the largest chunk of meat. Perhaps the other parts can be quite meaty, but typically the claw contains the largest single piece of meat in the entire crab (the head and body have a lot of mean, amongst all the cartilage, if you are brave enough to dig through it all). More often than not, though, only the legs and claws are eaten.

When you lock the keyhole in Agrabah, you get the Crabclaw keyblade.
4. Perhaps many have heard the term "Lionheart" given to a 12th century king, but what was the name of the king of England who was given this name?

Answer: Richard I

Richard the Lionheart (Richard Coeur de Lion) was born in 1157, and reigned from 1189 until 1199 (his death). Even before becoming king, Richard I was known as a great military leader, commanding his own army by the age of sixteen (and against his own father, Henry II).

You earn the Lionheart keyblade if you beat Cloud and Leon in the Hades Cup in the Coliseum.
5. The capital of Washington, USA sounds like it should belong in Greece. Which of these is the correct name for Washington's capital?

Answer: Olympia

Olympia is the capital city of Washington, named so for the view of the Olympic Mountains from the city. The tallest mountain of the range is Mount Olympus. Though Seattle is in Washington, it is not the capital; however, it is the largest city of Washington.

The Olympia keyblade is found in a chest in the Coliseum after winning the first three tournament's cups.
6. As you play through "Crash Bandicoot 2: The Wrath of Cortex", you discover you need a certain weapon to defeat the fifth boss. Which of these, perhaps Crash's "ultimate weapon", will you need?

Answer: Bazooka

In "Crash Bandicoot 2: The Wrath of Cortex" (PlayStation, 1997), Crash must get the bazooka before he can fight the final boss. The final boss fight takes place in space, where Crash is on his jetpack and chasing Cortex. Cortex must be shot down with the bazooka, which is obtained simply be defeating the fourth boss (N. Gin).

The Ultima Weapon is a weapon that you can synthesize. Once you earn enough synthesis pieces, and synthesize everything else in the shop, the Ultima Weapon can be synthesized. It is the most powerful weapon in the game.
7. How can I help but give you more video games questions? "The Elder Scrolls" is a video game series, but what is the name of the fourth in the series ("The Elder Scrolls IV")?

Answer: Oblivion

"The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion" was released in 2006 for the PC and the xBox 360. Though the game gained much success, it wasn't until "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim" that the series really made it big. "Morrowind" was the name of the third in the series, and "Daggerfall" was the second.

The Oblivion keyblade is found in a chest in the Grand Hall of Hollow Bastion.
8. This flower is truly a divine rose. Which of these flowers was named after the Roman goddess Juno, as it was called "Juno's Rose" in Rome?

Answer: Lily

The lily in Rome was known as Juno's Rose, because it was believed that Juno created it. It was said that as Juno was nursing Hercules, some excess milk fell. Some remained in the skies, thus creating the Milky Way, and the excess milk that made it to earth became lilies.

You can earn the Divine Rose by speaking to Belle in the Library of Hollow Bastion.
9. Spellbinders are common throughout the world of entertainment. Which of these characters would not be able to cast a spell?

Answer: Wizard of Oz

In "The Wizard of Oz" (1939), there was a magical wizard in the Emerald City. Near the end of the film, however, this so-called "wizard" was revealed to be a regular guy behind a curtain, using science more-so than magic. Harry Potter could cast spells, as he was an actual wizard from "Harry Potter". Alex Russo could cast spells, as the main wizard from "Wizards of Waverly Place". Yen Sid is a powerful Disney sorcerer, first appearing in "Fantasia". Notice his name is "Disney" backwards.

After acquiring all seven magic elements, you can speak with Merlin in his house to earn the Spellbinder.
10. "Luck Be a Lady" was a song performed by Robert Alda. In which musical does the song appear?

Answer: Guys and Dolls

"Guys and Dolls" first premiered on Broadway in 1950. It ran for 1200 shows, and in 1955 was adapted into a Marlon Brando film.

In Wonderland, if you use the White Trinity Mark in the Lotus Forest, you can earn the Lady Luck keyblade.
