Editors are a British band renowned for their distinctive blend of post-punk revival and indie rock. Formed in Birmingham in 2002, the band consists of Tom Smith (lead vocals, guitar, piano), Russell Leetch (bass guitar, synthesizer, backing vocals), Ed Lay (drums, percussion), Justin Lockey (guitar), and Elliott Williams (keys, synthesizers, guitars).

Their debut album, "The Back Room" (2005), generated critical acclaim for its brooding atmospheres and anthemic choruses, establishing Editors as a force in the alternative music scene. Subsequent albums like "An End Has a Start" (2007) and "In Dream" (2015) further showcased their evocative songwriting and dynamic soundscapes, identifying them as one of the UK's most compelling musical exports. "All The Kings" appears in their 2015 album "In Dream", their fifth album. Once again, the band explored loneliness, isolation and darkness and experimented with a more mature sound where the guitars are complemented by electronic sounds.

As Tom Smith said "To us it is interesting if it has a darkness. Whatever that is." Special mention should be made to the director of the song's video, Iranian artist Rahi Rezvani.

The black and white images that Rezvani choreographed tied perfectly with Tom Smith's deep baritone voice creating a haunting landscape.
