"Come On Eileen" reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and the UK Official Charts in 1982. In the UK the band had previously reached number on with "Geno" in 1980, and in addition had a further six songs reach the top twenty between 1980 and 1986.

In the US their only other song to chart, at a lowly number 86, was "The Celtic Soul Brothers" ein 1983 (number 20 in the UK).

Paul McCartney was visiting Johnny Cash at his Jamaica summer home one evening in the late 1980's, Tom T. Hall was there too, and together they wrote the melancholy ballad 'New Moon over Jamaica', which eventually found its way onto Cash's 'Water from the Wells of Home' album. Cash sang the main lead vocal, with McCartney doing second lead vocal and playing bass. Paul's wife Linda, Johnny's wife June, and Tom T. Hall added backup vocals.
