Derek Carr played for the Raiders franchise between 2014 and 2022. After the 2022-23 season, he was released by the Las Vegas Raiders. Carr passed for more than 35,000 yards and 200 touchdowns with the team.

In the 2023 Pro Bowl Games, Derek Carr dominated the Precision Passing challenge which involved hitting moving and stationary targets. Targets that were farther away, smaller and moving faster were worth more points.

Answer: Jordan Poyer

Jordan Poyer was drafted in the 7th round of the 2013 NFL Draft and he played for the Philadelphia Eagles and Cleveland Browns before he signed with the Buffalo Bills in 2017. Poyer's stellar performance in the 2022-23 season got him voted to his first Pro Bowl. Before his final swing in the Longest Drive competition of the 2023 Pro Bowl Games, the NFC was winning with a 316-yard drive. Poyer's win in the Longest Drive competition put the AFC up over the NFC 9-0 after three events.

Answer: Dodgeball

The AFC and NFC had one conference's offense play dodgeball against the other conference's defense. In dodgeball the goal is to eliminate the other team by throwing a ball at opposing players and if they are hit they are out. However, if the player catches the ball then the player that threw the ball is out.

In the final round of dodgeball at the 2023 Pro Bowl Games, the NFC offense beat the AFC defense to earn three points for the conference.

Answer: Flag football was played instead of tackle

The AFC and NFC played three games of flag football on the second day of the 2023 Pro Bowl Games. The conference winner of the first two flag football games were awarded six points and then the total points of the events leading up to the third flag football game were the starting scores in that game.

The flag football games were played seven-on-seven on a 50-yard field with touchdowns worth six points.

Answer: Tyler Huntley

Tyler Huntley was undrafted out of Utah in 2020 but he was signed by the Baltimore Ravens. He backed up star quarterback Lamar Jackson in the 2022-23 season and he was 2-2 as a starter. Huntley was an odd choice as a Pro Bowl alternate since he had just two passing touchdowns and three interceptions during the regular season.

However, Huntley played great in the first flag football game as he had four touchdown passes. Even so, his NFC counterpart, Geno Smith, also had an excellent game and the NFC won 33-27.

Answer: Trevon Diggs

Trevon Diggs is the younger brother of Stefon Diggs who played wide receiver for the Buffalo Bills in the 2022-23 season. During the second flag football game at the 2023 Pro Bowl, Stefon caught a touchdown on a deep pass while being covered by his brother.

However, Trevon nearly had a touchdown of his own after he intercepted and ran back a pass from his brother Stefon later in the game. The AFC won the second flag football game 18-13.

Answer: Amon-Ra St. Brown

Amon-Ra St. Brown was drafted in the fourth round of the 2021 NFL Draft. The 2022-23 season was his first Pro Bowl appearance and he beat Stefon Diggs handily in the Best Catch competition. In the third flag football game, St. Brown caught a touchdown pass from Kirk Cousins with just two minutes left in the first half.

Answer: Kneel down

The NFC got the ball back with just over two minutes on the clock with a 35-33 lead. They then proceeded to move the ball down the field to the 1-yard line at which point a penalty gave the NFC a first down. The rules of the flag football games at the 2023 Pro Bowl did not allow rushing plays while near the end zone.

However, the referee informed the NFC quarterback (Kirk Cousins) that a kneel down was not a penalty and the clock was run out with the NFC victorious.

Answer: Peyton and Eli Manning

Peyton Manning was the coach of the AFC and Eli Manning was the coach of the NFC at the 2023 Pro Bowl Games. Both Peyton and Eli had stellar NFL careers with both of them playing for at least 16 seasons, throwing for over 57,000 yards and winning two Super Bowls.
