Answer: Jim

Jim, born in 1935, was 3 years elder to Gaylord. Jim played 17 seasons, playing mostly for the Indians and the Twins. Gaylord pitched for 22 seasons with 8 different teams. In 1974 and 1975, they both were rostered by the Cleveland Indians. In 1974, Gaylord led the Indians with a 21-13 record, while Jim went 17-12. Gaylord won a Cy Young Award in both the American and National League, while Jim won a Cy in the American League.
2. What player banged out the most hits for the 2002 season?

Answer: Alfonso Soriano

The others listed had already retired. Soriano led the Yankees and the Major Leagues, by smacking 209 hits in his 4th season in baseball. He batted .300, and hit 39 home runs also. Alfonso was 3rd in MVP voting, behind winner Miguel Tejada, and Texas Ranger Alex Rodriguez.
