1.23 "Exodus, Part 1" Trivia Quiz

The episode opened up with Walt looking out the window on Sydney at night and then he turned on the TV. This woke up Michael and he told Walt to look at the time and see that it was time to go back to sleep. Walt told him that the show that on the TV, "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers", was one he always watched.

Walt woke up to go to the bathroom by a tree and it was while he was doing this that he noticed someone in the woods. He kept following the person until it was revealed that the person was Danielle Rousseau. Danielle also saw Walt and he started to run to get Michael.

After Walt got Michael, other survivors noticed Danielle and told her to stop. Sayid asked Danielle what she was doing and that was when she warned them of how The Others were coming. She mentioned how her people's ship went aground on the island 16 years ago and there were six of them. Danielle told the survivors the story about The Others.

After Danielle got done telling the survivors the story of The Others, Jack was seen walking down the beach with Locke and he mentioned how Danielle blew up her own shelter. He also told Locke that it was strange how she was now talking about seeing black smoke and hearing whispers. Jack said he believed Danielle was not playing with a full deck but Locke informed him how that did not mean what she was saying was not true.

Several of the survivors asked Danielle to tell them more about The Others but she assured them she told them all she knew. She told them they needed to hide all the survivors someplace so that was when she and several of the survivors went to hatch. When Hurley saw it, he asked how they knew they could all fit in there but nobody answered his question.

As Danielle, Hurley, Locke, Sayid and Danielle all stood outside by the hatch, Locke commented on how there had to be another entry way into the hatch. Sayid stated how they did not know about The Others and they were reacting without any information or intelligence. Sayid also said black smoke did not mean anything but Danielle told him how black smoke meant The Others were coming.

Midway through the episode, Jack was seen in a bar at the airport and Ana Lucia came up and ordered a tequila and tonic with a lemon. Ana Lucia asked Jack why he was yelling and she mentioned how she heard him yelling at the girl at the check-in counter. Jack asked Ana Lucia if he knew her and she told him she was on his flight to Los Angeles.

Jack got the survivors into a circle and he told them how he knew they had a lot of questions but, for now, he and a couple others were going into the jungle to get some supplies and would be back in a couple of hours. He instructed them that, in the meantime, they were to do what they could to help Michael get the raft out into the ocean.

He also told them to go to the caves once they got the raft into the water.

There was one flashback in the middle of the episode where U.S. Marshal Edward Mars was checking in his bag. The person asked Marshal Mars why he needed five guns so he turned to a handcuffed Kate and told him to explain why he needed all those guns. Kate did not say a word in the flashback.

Hayward, born in 1949 in Wales, had a small guest starring role in this episode as an Australian official who checked in Marshal Mars' bag. This was the only episode in which Hayward starred on "Lost." He has also guest starred on the TV shows, "Babylon 5" and "Hunter." He was also in the 1988 movie, "Crackdown."
