Per Cara Bowden's instructions, Jack Bauer had forced the vehicle carrying Tony Almeida to detour from the caravan and go into a tunnel. In the tunnel, they stopped behind Bowden's car, and Bauer freed Almeida and chained up Renee Walker and the other agents. Bauer explained to Walker that he had to help Almeida because his daughter was being threatened.

When Almeida brought Bauer to Bowden's vehicle, she asked why Almeida didn't kill him on the spot, and Almeida replied that they could "harvest" the agent from Bauer's body.

Aaron Pierce had begun to suspect that Olivia Taylor was involved in Jonas Hodges' death. He knew there was a recording device in Ethan Kanin's office so he called Kanin to ask him to access it. Kanin needed to do so in person as it required his thumb print to open.

Tony Almeida told Cara Bowden that he felt he had earned a right to a higher position in the organization, and he wanted to meet with her boss. She called Alan Wilson and told him that she would like him to meet with Almeida because Almeida had done so much for them that day. Wilson agreed to come to meet Almeida, but he told Bowden that if he didn't take to Almeida, he would have to kill him.

Answer: Kim Bauer

Two of the conspirators were watching Kim Bauer at the airport, and when they noticed security guards moving in, the woman grabbed Bauer while the man began shooting at the guards. Bauer stabbed the woman with a pen, and one of the guards shot her. The man was also shot but managed to escape. Bauer ran after him; he was their only clue as to where Jack Bauer was being held.

As the man tried to drive out of the parking garage, he was shot by a guard and crashed his car. Kim Bauer managed to retrieve the laptop from the burning vehicle so it could be used to track down her father.

Olivia Taylor told White House security to detain Ethan Kanin until she arrived. She then ordered that he and his property be searched for a data card. She let him go once she retrieved it, and then she destroyed the card.

Answer: Wilson was responsible for the murder of Almeida's wife, Michelle.

Tony Almeida told Jack Bauer that Alan Wilson was the one who had been behind the murder of Almeida's wife, Michelle, several years back. Almeida never accepted her death and had spent years tracking down the man responsible and coming up with a plan to meet him so that he could exact his revenge. All of his actions that day had been for that one purpose.

Cara Bowden had been both Tony Almeida's girlfriend and co-conspirator. She had continuously praised him to the others in the consortium of conspirators, and she was responsible for arranging the face-to-face meeting with Alan Wilson that Almeida had wanted. But when the three of them were alone, Almeida shot her. He had just used her to get to Wilson.

Tony Almeida suspected that he wouldn't be able to get close enough to Alan Wilson to kill him. Wilson was very cautious and well-protected. Since Wilson would be getting close to Jack Bauer, however, Almeida strapped a bomb under Bauer's jacket, and he planned to detonate it when Wilson was near Bauer.

Henry Taylor told President Taylor that her job cost their son his life and begged her to destroy the evidence against Olivia Taylor. He implied that her decision to do otherwise would affect their marriage. After giving it some thought, President Taylor told them she had no choice since she was president; she had to have Olivia taken into custody.

Henry Taylor didn't speak to her after that on Day 7.

Jack Bauer had actually called Imam Muhtadi Gohar, who he had met earlier when Bauer was looking for Jibraan Al-Zarian. Bauer told the imam that he had thought he would have the time to correct the many mistakes he had made. The imam told him he had the time now. He told Bauer, "let us both forgive ourselves for all the wrongs that we have done." This seemed to bring peace to Bauer.
