True or false: When Baltar said he would destroy the Cylon-detector himself, the Six in his head was angry and told him to continue working on it.

Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. As passengers arrived from another ship to board Galactica, we saw a familiar face. Walking the hallways disguised as one of these civilians, which model Cylon carried out the suicide bombing?

Answer: Aaron Doral (Number Five)

Known only to a few select in the fleet, Cylons had the capacity to look human. Aaron Doral, the persona of Number Five, was previously the fleet's public relations officer. In the miniseries, he was stranded on the Ragnar Anchorage station after being accused of being a Cylon (which we later found out that he was).

After Colonel Tigh saw him wandering the halls, he sent out an alert and approached him from the back. Commander Adama also happened to be headed in the same direction and called out Doral's name. It was then that the Cylon revealed his vest of explosives, nearly killing Adama and Tigh. The colonel shoved the commander out of the explosion's path at the last second.
2. Adama and Tigh spoke with the master-at-arms over security and revealed to her that Cylons could look human. It was a shocking revelation to her, one that opened up the need for an unimpeded investigation and she asked for an independent tribunal. Adama gave it to her. At the end of their meeting, she suggested that they reveal to the public that Cylons look human. Was that fact revealed in this episode?

Answer: Yes

Tigh told Adama that informing the public that Cylons could take human form was like opening "a can of worms". The decision was not made lightly, and when it came time to reveal this truth, President Roslin took careful measures so as to not scare anyone unnecessarily.

At this time, only two Cylon agents were known to the fleet, Leoben and Doral. Baltar knew secretly of Number Six. Only the audience knew that Sharon was a Cylon.
3. When the master-at-arms began to question the deck crew over Chief Galen Tyrol's whereabouts, they had some conflicting responses. It seemed they were trying to cover for Tyrol because he was having a illicit romantic meeting with Sharon Valerii, another officer aboard Galactica. Due to these conflicting reports, the chief was suspected of conspiring with Cylon agents. Which of the following was the response that Chief Tyrol himself gave?

Answer: He was asleep in his rack.

Tyrol said that he was in his rack, and the members of his deck crew gave the other responses, hoping to get the Chief out of trouble. When it was seen that their reports conflicted, the master at arms began to suspect that Tyrol had something to do with the suicide bombing.

The three members of the deck crew, Cally, Jammer, and Socinus, were caught in their lies once the tribunal started.
4. During Tyrol's appearance at the independent tribunal, Sergeant Hadrian, the master-at-arms, became more and more vigorous with her line of questioning. She continuously implied that Tyrol had somehow been involved with a Cylon agent. She became the most suspicious after she asked where the chief had been during the time of the bombing. What did Tyrol do?

Answer: He exercised his right under Article Twenty-three.

With the evidence put in front of him, Galen Tyrol had only two choices: he either had to admit to his relationship with Boomer or exercise his right to not self-incriminate; lying would not have gotten him anywhere. When he finally did invoke the Twenty-third Article, the master-at-arms told him that the tribunal would look upon that as further evidence of his guilt.
5. The interrogation of Socinus, one of Tyrol's deckhands, revealed to him that they had caught him lying under oath. When he was pressured, what did Socinus admit was Tyrol's fault?

Answer: None of these

Socinus was selfless to the end, save for perhaps the fact that he admitted to leaving the hatch open on C-deck deliberately. "Whatever happened, it was me; just me," Socinus said after he admitted it.
6. Gaius Baltar decided to visit Starbuck in the infirmary and give her a cigar, seemingly to get in her good favor. Starbuck mentioned that since Gaius was on the same deck as the bomber, that perhaps his work on the Cylon-detector was the intended target. The Six in Gaius' head hassled him over this fact, downplaying his ego and focusing on his work. True or false: When Baltar said he would destroy the Cylon-detector himself, the Six in his head was angry and told him to continue working on it.

Answer: True

"You're going to complete the project, just like I told you," the Six said. When Baltar asked the consequences, she replied with a tight grip on his neck, "Don't make me angry, Gaius. You wouldn't like me when I'm angry." One of the Marines saw his actions, and since only the audience and Baltar get to see the Six, he gave him a weird look; Baltar had looked like he had shoved himself against a wall.
7. On Caprica, we see the Cylons' plan begin to take form. Sharon, who had been kidnapped in the last episode, was now cooperating with the Cylons. They watched Helo from above on a rooftop. When it was clear that Helo was going to try to rescue Sharon, the Cylons had their chance. What did the Cylons do to Sharon to make the rescue look more believable?

Answer: All of these

We still did not know exactly what the Cylons had in plan for Helo, but we could see that it involved his feelings for her. When the Cylon models were discussing whether or not he would come to her rescue, they continuously commented on whether or not he cared enough for her to attempt a rescue.

When Helo turned toward Cylon-occupied land, they knew that he meant to get her back and they set their scheme in motion.
8. Sergeant Hadrian's questions for the commander had grown speculative and began to serve as a way to free her from blame. In doing so, she had to find the fault with someone else. After she asked Commander Adama if his allowing a relationship between Tyrol and Valerii had allowed a Cylon to gain access to a small arms locker, he stopped the tribunal and called it what?

Answer: a witch hunt

The panel and Sergeant Hadrian told Adama that he had no authority to stop the tribunal. Once it was clear that he was going to leave, the master-at-arms told the Corporal of the Guard to stop Commander Adama and seat him back in his chair. Adama told the Marine that his orders were to escort Hadrian back to her quarters and that he must choose.

The Marine chose to take the sergeant back to her room.
9. The announcement that Specialist Socinus had been put in the brig and that his rank had been stripped sent Tyrol into a fit of anger. He didn't believe it was right that someone else should get the blame for something he did. When he went to confront Commander Adama about this injustice, what was the price that Adama said Tyrol would pay?

Answer: He would have to walk out on the hangar deck knowing one of his men was in the brig.

"You'll pay a different price," Adama growled to Tyrol. "You'll have to walk out on that hangar deck everyday, knowing that one of your men is in the brig because you couldn't keep your fly zipped." He later went on to explain that the only reason Tyrol wasn't in the brig along with Socinus was because he needed Tyrol to "keep [his] planes flying."
10. After his scolding, Tyrol went to confront Sharon and to tell her their relationship was over. She wasn't very thrilled to hear that he was giving up on them. When they had finally decided to break it off officially, Tyrol asked her if she was the one who left the hatch-combing open the previous night. What was her response?

Answer: "You have the only answer you're ever going to get."

Sharon told him that he had the only answer he was ever going to get, never really answering his question. She implied that she didn't leave the hatch open, making Tyrol feel guilty for asking her in the first place. The audience knows, though, that she is a Cylon, and most probably left it open, yet she might not even remember. We are left with the spookiness of Sharon's anger and Tyrol's last moment of self-reflection.
