The boat hadn't been in Bill's driveway very long when two of Hollis Greene's henchwomen set it on fire. Don suspected Roman of setting the fire, but Bill didn't think that was Roman's style.

Bill went to see Ana at her apartment and the two of them quickly became amorous. Not wanting to ruin something they might have together, Bill stopped before they went too far. Bill noticed a second bouquet of flowers on Ana's table, and Ana told him they were from her friend Margene.

As soon as Bill got home he asked Margene, "Have you been getting pie at the diner?". Margene told Bill that she had become friends with Ana and really liked her, but Bill told her she couldn't be friends with the woman he was dating.

Earlier, Nicki had gotten upset when a reporter called and asked questions about Roman and Rhonda. After confronting April Blessing, Nicki sat out in front of the Tuttle's house, and waited until Laura went inside before approaching Rhonda. First, Nicki tried to turn Rhonda against April, but Rhonda said that April helped her to get her story told. Nicki lied that Bill owned a TV station and they would help Rhonda get her story told on TV.

Not believing Nicki, Rhonda began screaming for Aunt Laura and saying that someone was trying to take her. Nicki left in a hurry.

Margene and Ana bonded during their afternoon together, and Margene told Ana that she was a polygamist. She liked Ana so much that she wanted Nicki and Barb to meet her, so Margene invited the two of them to lunch at Wild Thymes. Things didn't go too well for Margene because Nicki was rude to Ana and Barb was indifferent. Bill later decided to stop seeing Ana and explained to a crushed Margene that he couldn't marry Ana for her.

After Officer Tuttle told Sarah that Rhonda had told him what went on in the Henrickson homes, and that she was uncomfortable being alone around Bill, a tearful Sarah went home and told Barb. Barb asked Rhonda why she had said such reckless things and Rhonda said they kept putting words in her mouth. Barb told Rhonda she couldn't keep lying to get what she wanted. Bill struggled, but was losing the battle with Bowl Cut when he blurted out that Weber Gaming was purchased for Roman Grant. Hollis said to let Bill go, and Bill explained that he was on the UEB, and any attack on a council member was an affront to Roman's authority. Bill said he would see what he could do about getting the company from Roman, and Hollis told Selma to give Bill a ride back into town. Walking back to his truck, Bill called Don and told him that they thought they were taking Weber from Roman, when Roman was trying to take it from the Greenes.
