Roman got his guitar back, after meeting with Bill and their attorneys to sign papers which finalized their agreement. Bill was happy when he got home to Barb, and told her they were going to celebrate with a barbecue. He was going to invite Don and his family to also celebrate their engagement to Betty.

After making love, Bill told Nicki he loved her. Nicki asked "how much" and Bill said it was astronomical. Nicki felt this was a good time to tell Bill that she owed $58,000 in credit card debit. As expected, Bill became very angry and left her house.

Margene didn't know anything about a vote until Don's wife, JoJo, came over and mentioned that the vote on Betty was unanimous. She couldn't get any information from a preoccupied Nicki, so Margene asked Sarah about the vote. Sarah said she couldn't remember anything, and told Margene she wasn't the one to ask. Ben happened to be walking by, and when Margene asked him if he knew anything about the vote on her, he asked, "which one".

He said there were a few, it kept coming in 2-1. Realizing he'd said too much, he slipped away while Margene was still absorbing what he'd told her.

Bill and Barb saw the police car drive by, and then back up before stopping in front of their house. The trooper was Heather's father, Chuck Tuttle, who came by to pick up Heather. Bill was upset that Sarah hadn't told him that Heather's father was a state trooper.

Nicki kept trying to get Bill to talk to her, but he explained that he didn't want to for awhile. When Nicki told Bill that Barb had switched nights with her, Bill told Barb to switch it back because he didn't like people making plans for him behind his back. Nicki got upset, raving to Barb that Bill wouldn't even look at her, and he hated her.

When she suggested selling her car, Barb reminded her that the car belonged to all of them, and Barb's name was on the registration.

Margene was happy to be out of the house, but was a bit surprised when a guy Carl worked with joined them for dinner. The guy, Chad, was very taken with Margene, who was enjoying some much needed feelings of acceptance. Chad came by Margene's house the next day, brought Margene flowers and told her he'd had a revelation that she was the one for him.

When he tried to kiss her, she told him she had her eye on someone else.

Don showed up with a dish Betty had made, and sadly told Barb he wasn't staying because Betty had been blackballed. Peg saw some literature in Betty's things which indicated she had been a Moonie, and belonged to some other groups. The wives thought she was a lost soul who wouldn't be committed to them, and after a re-vote, Betty was blackballed.

At first Nicki told Margene she never would have voted against her. Margene went to talk to Nicki after Nicki returned home, and when pressed, Nicki confessed that she was the one who had taken so long to decide to vote for her. She thought that Margene was too needy and needed too much reassurance.

Bill became angrier than he already was at Nicki, after she told him that her father had given her $3000 to pay on her credit cards. Nicki ran off after Bill yelled at her, and didn't come home that night. Barb called Bill the next day to tell him that Nicki had called to say "goodbye". Bill found Nicki at the mall filling out a job application.

She led Bill to believe that she had spent the night at a shelter, but after she got back home, she pulled a receipt from a motel out of her purse.

After what happened with Nicki, and Don coming by to tell Bill that Betty had been blackballed, half of the lobsters Bill had bought for the barbecue didn't even get cooked. Bill took the bags of trash containing the lobsters to work to put in the Home Plus dumpster, but it was locked.

He received a call that day telling him that the parcel of land they were planning for the third store had been designated a historic site. Angry about this, and sure that Roman was involved in it, Bill stopped at the site after work and threw his bags of trash over the fence.
