All had been worried because they didn't know where he was, but Nicki was the most upset because it had been her night, and she had made stuffed cabbage. That evening, Bill told his wives that he had a lot on his plate and he wanted one night a week off.

Bill proposed that he take every seventh night off for himself. Barb was not at all happy with Bill's request and vowed to find out what was behind it. Nicki told Margene that it was Barb's fault that Bill needed a night off because she drove him too hard.

But to Barb, Nicki said it was Margene's fault because she exhausted him with all of her 'demands', and added that she didn't want any nights after Margene anymore. Margene didn't see anything unreasonable about Bill's request because they got nights off too.

Bill insisted he wanted a night off put on the schedule, but Barb told him he should give up something else, not his wives. When he refused to give in, she said she was going to sleep on the sofa. Bill left and went next door to Margene's, who initially told him he couldn't stay, but eventually gave in to him. A stunned Nicki witnessed their lovemaking through the window.

When he told her she couldn't turn his wives against him, Barb guessed correctly that Margene had told. With all three wives angry at him, Bill said he wanted a schedule with a night off, until then he'd be in the basement. Barb told Bill to go to his room.

Barb and Bill were dismayed when he told them what he'd done, and asked what he would do if he found someone else later on. Ben said he'd take a second wife, devastating Barb, who told Bill this was his fault. Barb felt that Brynn should know what she was in for in a plural marriage, but Ben hadn't said anything to Brynn about that. Brynn didn't want to be a polygamist so she broke up with Ben, saying he would make some girls really happy one day.

Initially giving the Greenes information about how to attack Roman, Bill and Don decided it was time to let the Greenes go after Frank found out Bill bought his gambling business with stolen money. Bill tipped off Roman about an attack on his irrigation company, but the Greenes held Bill responsible when they were attacked at their own place. Fearing retaliation on his family, Bill went to the ATF, who raided the Greene's warehouse and forced them to flee into Arizona.
