Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. This season featured how many competing queens?

Answer: Ten

As with the previous seasons of "Drag Race Down Under", a round number of ten queens from home cities in Australia and New Zealand were brought into the work room in-studio in New Zealand for an eight-week competition for the crown. The difference, this time, is that the contestants would not be judged directly by Mother Ru, but for the first time, Michelle Visage would be taking the host's seat.

She introduced herself to the group after they entered the work room for the first time, insisting that they would still need to bring their best to win the title.
2. The season saw a handful of revolving guest judges. Who of these was not amongst them?

Answer: Karen From Finance

Although Rhys Nicholson returned as Michelle's constant judge for this season, coming back to the role he inhabited on the panel for the previous three iterations of the show, this still left a regular slot from being filled during deliberations. To make up for this vacancy, Michelle's former seat was filled by the three past winners of "Drag Race Down Under" on a revolving basis beginning with season three winner Isis Avis Loren.

They weren't the only "Drag Race" alumni to make it to the panel though-- Sasha Colby, for instance, was present to judge in the first episode while Kween Kong, the choreographer in episode two, joined the panel in that instance.
3. The first challenge of the season was a talent show.

Answer: False

After the queens made it into the work room, Michelle tasked them with a design challenge for their first week together. In addition to hitting the main stage in a Double Dressin' Ru-veal look that showed off their ingenuity in fashion, the queens were also told that they received a colour prompt before their arrival. The catch was that someone else in the group would have a matching colour prompt, and on the main stage they would walk together in the Double Dippin' category to determine who wore it best.

Lazy Susan won the episode with her pair of looks while the bottom two, Karna Ford and Lucina Innocence, lip synced to Troye Sivan's "Rush". Both of the bottom queens survived this week in the series' first double-shantay.
4. Both choreographed numbers seen in the second week of the competition were inspired by what Aussie performer?

Answer: Olivia Newton-John

The ten queens, all still competing, were split into two opposing groups of five in the second week of the competition, both of which would be attempting to ride off the general vibes and aesthetics of Olivia Newton-John's Sandy from "Grease". For one team, 'Good Sandy' needed to be evoked for the song "Mr. Right", and for the other, 'Bad Sandy' for "Mr. Right Now".

In both cases, queens had to devise their own lyrics and choreography alongside Kween Kong before performing, live, on the main stage.

After the runway (category being 'Sheer Genius), Lazy Susan won her second challenge in a row and Olivia Dreams was sent home first.
5. This season's 'Snatch Game' was themed around which Australian reality show?

Answer: I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!

Nine queens headed into 'Snatch Game' this season but instead of all joining a single panel, the participating contestants were split into two groups and told to bring their best celebrity impersonations to the in-studio jungle foe an 'I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!' edition of the game which, honestly, didn't change the typical format of answering fill-in-the-blank questions with silly answers.

After trying to win points for either Rhys Nicholson or guest judge Kita Mean, the queens hit the runway in their dessert-themed finery. Brenda Bressed won this week while Karna Ford went home.
6. The queens had a design challenge to contend with in their fourth week of competition. Each queen received a different one of which of these?

Answer: Fabric set

To reach the halfway point of the season, the queens were told they'd be partaking in a design challenge where their options and inspirations were limitless provided they contended with a near-randomly-drawn pack of fabrics they were saddled with-- everything from check designs to pleather to denim to tie-dye. Mandy Moobs took the win this episode, crafting a complex garment (corset included) from lamé fabrics while Lucina Innocence, stuck with florals, was sent home after her third time in the bottom.
7. The makeover challenge, held in episode 5, had the queens dressing up people of what profession?

Answer: Librarians

Seven queens were still in the competition when the makeover challenge appeared, marking an early instance for this typical hurdle. After winning the reading mini-challenge, Vybe had the chance to choose which queens were paired up with each of the volunteering librarians provided and on the main stage they needed to tell a story in regards to their look and drag family resemblances.

This week ended up seeing a double win while Brenda Bressed was eliminated.
8. Queens had to do overdramatic script readings in the sixth challenge of the season, performing for which role in a fake soap opera?

Answer: Tutu Much

The sixth week of the competition was all about acting, and after engaging with Michelle Visage in a faux slap battle in the workroom, the remaining queens had to push their acting chops to the limit by vying for a role in the fake Aussie soap "Platy-Pussies On Fire", taking on a script in for the character 'Tutu Much'.

The queens would be able to portray the role in any way they deemed necessary with Rhys Nicholson as their scene partner, and on the main stage, they would be judged for their approaches and commitment to the bit as well as their liquid-themed runway looks.

This week, Max Drag Queen was sent home.
9. The penultimate episode of the season had a comedy roast. The participants had to roast which of these?

Answer: A judge

The final five had to put their comedy chops to the test in the second-to-last challenge of the competition in which all of them had to hit the main stage giving their cleverly-crafted ribbing to the man of the hour, Rhys Nicholson. Though the UK version of this challenge (and many U.S. ones) have featured the return of past queens as roast subjects, this season's challenge was kept to the remaining queens and the panel. Vybe was given the win this week while Mandy Moobs was put into the bottom for the first time, sending Nikita Iman home on her third lip sync.
10. Which queen won "Drag Race Down Under" Season 4?

Answer: Lazy Susan

In the last week of the season, the final four needed to go through the wringer in one last challenge, this one bringing them to the main stage to contribute their part of an original Leland-produced track called "The Biggest". After a Jaffa Chat with Michelle, the queens recorded their verses and then headed to the main stage for choreography with season 1 queen Elektra Shock before, at last, performing for the judges and presenting their coronation runway looks.

In the end, it was Lazy Susan who took the grand prize of $50,000 AUD and a year's supply of Anastasia Beverly Hills Cosmetics, winning out over Vybe and Mandy Moobs in joint runner-up positions.
