Answer: Turkey hunt

When Stevie teases David about needing her emotional support while trying to remove a bug from his motel room, he insists that he "could not be more at one with nature". Intending to disprove this, Stevie invites David to join her at the mayor's annual turkey hunt expecting him to say 'no'. David's pride won't let him refuse so he finds himself looking down the barrel of a gun at a turkey while lying in the mud with Stevie, Ronnie, Roland, and Bob.

Answer: Pansexual

Although Roland initially thinks pansexuality is a cookware fetish, Johnny quickly corrects him by explaining that his son "loves everyone: men, women, women who become men, men who become women."

Dan Levy explained in an interview with Pink News that, when creating the show, he wanted "Schitt's Creek" to include characters that represent the LGBT+ community but where their stories are told in hopeful and happy ways - rather than their stories being heavy and "water-logged with messaging" as is more commonly the case.

Answer: An Amish farm

At the end of season one, David commandeers Roland's truck and skips town. Three days later, someone finds the truck and sure enough, David is found at an Amish farm nearby.

The Amish family is grateful that someone came to pick David up (they'd spent two sleepless nights worried that no-one would!) and say that his stay has taught them valuable lessons in patience, forgiveness, and restraint.

Answer: The Blouse Barn

David is hired as a brand manager for The Blouse Barn. He and the owner Wendy get off to a rocky start (he insults her fashion choices) but before long Wendy is seen to be taking a lot of guidance from David - to the point where the entire aesthetic of the store changes. When the store subsequently gets into financial difficulty, Wendy says to David: "YOU were my mistake".

Answer: Driver's licence test

Johnny won't let David drive their new car until he gets a new driver's licence and it's at this point that we learn how many times he's failed both the written and practical portions in the past.

When driving him to the testing location, Alexis (who has a driver's licence in seven different countries and a licence to drive transport trucks) actually helps David by giving him the following pieces of advice: "Nobody cares" and "People aren't thinking about you, the way that you're thinking about you".

Answer: Ray

Patrick is asked by Ray (his employer) to help David with filing the incorporation papers for his business. Since David doesn't yet have all of the information needed, Patrick gives him his phone number and, as they say, the rest is history. The two go on to become not only business partners but get married in the final episode of the show.

Answer: Sebastian Raine

Moira is under the impression that Sebastian is coming to Schitt's Creek to consult with her about a future photoshoot. In reality, he takes dozens of photos of Moira around town despite her explicit objections. Reflecting on it later, she seems unsure how she allowed him to do this, saying that he just started shooting and she just did he told her to and "leaned into the moment".

When David finds out, he takes it upon himself to retrieve and destroy the camera's memory card, thus preventing the images from being used in a way that Moira hadn't agreed to.

Answer: "(Simply) The Best" (Tina Turner)

After Patrick reveals that he was once engaged to a woman, David needs some time to process this. As he's doing so, Patrick showers him with gifts which David enjoys so much that he keeps postponing their reunion. When this comes out, Patrick is upset and so David performs a lip sync routine choosing Tina Turner's "(Simply) The Best" as his backing track.

In an adorable call-back, this is the same song Patrick dedicated to David when covering it at their store's 'Open Mic' night.

Answer: Patrick's parents

Assuming they know about his personal relationship with Patrick (in addition to their business partnership), David invites Clint and Marcy Brewer to Schitt's Creek for their son's surprise birthday party.

Upon their arrival, Johnny inadvertently 'outs' Patrick to the Brewers and so David needs to spoil the surprise and tell his boyfriend that his parents are in town. As part of that conversation, he offers to remain as just Patrick's business partner for the evening if that's what he wants saying "[coming out] is very personal and it's something you should only do on your own terms".

Answer: Massage

Patrick had arranged for the massage weeks before the wedding (he had a feeling that David wouldn't handle stress well) and had left an envelope of cash with a note saying to take very good care of David. The masseuse misunderstood this instruction and David got his first ever 'happy ending', much to his fiance's dismay.
