Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. In Manhattan in 1967, Mia Farrow and Frank Sinatra argued about their lifestyle. Did Frank want Mia to keep working in film?

Answer: No

In 1967, Frank Sinatra took Mia Farrow out for lunch and drinks and asked how the shoot had been going; she couldn't put her finger on whether she was doing well or if she'd never work again. The discussion that ensued got serious; Frank wanted her to choose between their marriage and her most recent film. If she decided to go back to the set after their meal, he said, they'd be through, even if they were only a third of the way through their film. She knew she'd get the Oscar nomination.

Frank wished her luck in figuring it out. It'd be hard, living in Manhattan, both of them with full-time work, raising a baby.
2. What movie was Mia Farrow filming when she met Siobhan in 1967?

Answer: Rosemary's Baby

After putting on her fake pregnancy pad, Mia returned to the set and met with her director, Roman Polanski, to prepare for a nail-biting scene that required that she walk directly into non-simulated Manhattan traffic. Sharon Tate calmed her, reassuring her that "the Devil is beautiful, and you find him in the people you'd never expect".

As the camera rolled, Mia took her steps into the street, narrowly avoiding getting hit on her way across. When the scene wrapped, she returned to her dressing room and attempted to calm herself down, failing to do so when she felt the movements in her stomach. A voice soothed her from outside her door, telling her to remove her pregnancy pad, and in doing so it stopped her hallucinations. Opening the door, she encountered none other than Siobhan Corbyn, standing outside with a smile on her face and a copy of the "Rosemary's Baby" script in her hands.
3. What does Dex request of his mother's funeral attendees (in lieu of flowers)?

Answer: Donations

Anna, Dex, and others attend Virginia's funeral, and during the proceedings, Dex gives a speech to a small crowd of attendees, thanking them for being present and for the donations they've made to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (in lieu of flowers). This, unfortunately, is the prompt for Ms. Mavis Preecher to stand in the aisle and declare that Virginia did not kill herself; she was killed. Preecher chastises Dexter for not listening to his mother's repeated warnings as she's hauled from the church. Her last message is to listen to his wife.

Anna is, of course, shaken by the event. She asks security where Preecher went, but they note that she was taken to the ER to be sedated. Anna heads there next.
4. Where is Anna when she discovers that she's been nominated for the Oscar?

Answer: In a hospital

Arriving at the hospital, Anna finds her way to Preecher's bed finds the woman heavily sedated; a nurse lets her know that she may not completely be herself. Anna apologizes for not believing her and grabs her hand as Preecher abruptly awakens, warning her once again that she has to do something or, else, everything will be taken away from her. Those who serve to act against her will never stop. A nurse returns to up the sedatives and Anna decides to stay by her bedside.

When Anna awakens, having fallen asleep next to Preecher's bed, she finds the nurses turning over the sheets. During her sleep, several women came along and picked the woman up. The news is confusing and concerning to Anna, but that's the moment when she turns to the TV beside her and finds that she's been nominated for an Oscar. She grabs her things and flees the hospital.
5. Anna finds a phone hidden in a bag in her home. Whose phone does it turn out to be?

Answer: Dexter's

Anna meets with Siobhan after receiving the Oscar news and the two discuss Anna's upcoming trip to L.A. for the main event. Although Anna is seven months pregnant at this time, Siobhan reminds her that flying in her third trimester is ultimately her call. If she feels well enough to do it, she should.

As they go over jewellery choices in Anna's bathroom, they hear the sound of a phone buzzing and search for it, finding a flip phone belonging to neither of them in a pack in one of the cupboards.

As it turns out, the call is coming from an unknown number though, definitively, it has to be Dex's phone-- one Anna never knew about.
6. Who does Anna happen to run into at an Oscar gift event?

Answer: Cora

Despite everything going on, Siobhan takes Anna to an Oscar event for the free gifts and swag. Anna, quite pregnant and nervous, gives in to the publicity as much as she can, but she spies a familiar face across the room, specifically Dr. Hill's secretary, Cora, who's there demoing a product that Dr. Hill invented and wanted to get into the hands of rich clientele. It's sheer coincidence that Anna spies her in the room because the cloak is identical to the one worn by the person who appeared in her apartment months before. It's enough to trigger a memory and help Anna realized that Cora was the intruder they sought the entire time.

It forces Cora to reveal everything.
7. The intruder who broke into Anna and Dex's apartment was able to do so because they had a key the whole time.

Answer: True

As Cora explains, meeting Dex and falling in love with him was a bit of a cliche. After Anna and Dex visited Dr. Hill, Dex started the affair and, inevitably, he gave her a key to the apartment. They couldn't help themselves. She would watch everything on the cameras and, eventually, she became addicted to it. She wanted it for herself, and it's why she went into Anna's computer, stole her password, and accessed her apps, leaving her messages for months and changing her appointments around.

It all fell apart though. When Dex cut Cora off, she kept breaking into the apartment and making small changes to make Anna think she was losing her mind.

Cora admits that she never wanted Anna to know; she loves her. In fact, she came to the Oscars event to warn her that the real threat is the women that Dr. Hill works with, the women who find new patients and bring them to him. She doesn't know what they're doing, but they're the reason Dr. Hill is the top fertility specialist in the city because of the sacrifices he makes.
8. On the day of the Oscars, Anna awakens to a hallucination in which she finds that which of these has changed?

Answer: Her legs

Anna, returns to her and Dex's L.A. home early and finds him on his flip phone. He explains he's just speaking to Talia, but she doesn't pay much attention to what he says. Instead, she succinctly tells him to get out.

She wakes up in bed, alone, the next morning to the sound of her alarm and, almost immediately, she begins hallucinating that her body has changed. Siobhan lets herself in-- it's the big day, after all-- just as Anna rushes to the washroom, grabs a small knife, and starts cutting at her legs, attempting to carve out the scales she appears to have grown over her legs. Siobhan notices the blood when she emerges, but it turns out that Anna's legs are otherwise perfectly fine. Just in time, too, since the makeup team has arrived.
9. Arriving on the red carpet at the Oscars, what happens to Anna?

Answer: She falls down

As Anna and Siobhan head to the Oscars, Siobhan brings up Dex's cheating. As she says, she has to. But Anna asks her clearly to avoid the topic since it's Oscar Night-- her night-- and she deserves to feel good. Siobhan thanks Anna and congratulates her on all the hard work; she's listened to almost everything she's asked for. Siobhan promises she'll get what she wants. Anna has to ask though, as to whether or not Siobhan would lie to her. Siobhan says, in response, that there are two types of women: those who know it's their responsibility to lift others up and those who hates the ones they'll never get to be.

Walking the red carpet, Anna's hallucinations return. She turns around to see Babette, her head crudely sewn back on, congratulating her and wishing her luck. When Anna falls in front of the cameras, Siobhan asks if they should go to the hospital. Anna refuses the offer. It is the Oscars, after all. Her body would tell her if something was wrong.
10. Does Anna win the Oscar?

Answer: Yes

Anna's body starts reacting while the 96th Academy Awards ceremony commences; she feels twinges of pain as the host takes the stage. It may, as she says, be a contraction. She can't go into labour, she claims, as it's only been thirty weeks. Siobhan says that Anna can hold on until her category, then they can go to the hospital.

Eventually, the moment comes and the Best Actress category is called. Siobhan turns to Anna and asks if she really wants the award, going so far as to ask what Anna would give up to get it. When Anna claims she would give up anything, Siobhan presses her hand to Anna's stomach. Anna can only nod.

Siobhan congratulates Anna moments before her name is called, and Anna walks up to the stage an Oscar-winner, taking the statuette and standing before the microphone and the audience prepared to give her acceptance speech. As she begins, a single person applauds from what appears to be an empty theatre, and as Anna looks up she sees her mother crying and clapping for her.

It's then that Anna's water breaks and the crowd, still present in the room, watches as Anna is led away.
