"National Treasure: Edge of History" S1:E8 Quiz

Answer: Billie thinks Rafael killed her brother Sebastian.

The episode opens with Billie talking on a phone to Rafael while he is in prison. Billie tells Rafael that he is responsible for the death of her brother Sebastian. Rafael pleadingly tells Billie that he had nothing to do with Sebastian's death but rather it was Salazar who shot Sebastian when he was buried underneath rubble. Billie doesn't believe Rafael telling him that he had double crossed her before.

Answer: Oren

Oren is surprised that he is the only one who thinks that trying to break Rafael out of prison is a bad idea. He comically tells them that this is the first time that he has been the voice of reason of the group. Ethan tells Oren that it will be good to have someone stateside in case they get caught and need help with the extradition process.

Answer: She makes the prison's computer system think the area is flooded.

When Oren leaves to go back to the USA, he tells Tasha, Ethan and Jess that prisons have large drainage areas in case of flooding. Tasha realizes that if she tricks the prison's computer system to think the area is flooded, the system will automatically lower the water levels in the drainage area. Tasha tells Jess that this will give her 10 minutes to go through the drainage area, retrieve her father Rafael from the prison and return.

Answer: Shoes

A guard brings shoes to Rafael who is surprised to see that they finally arrived. He tells the guard that he had been waiting months for them and the guard tells him it must be his lucky day. Later we learn that the shoes were actually sent by Billie who put a tracker in them to know where Rafael went after he escaped.

Answer: He has already broken out of his cell.

When Jess gets to Rafael's room she is surprised to see that the cell is already open as she was expecting to have to pick the lock. When she enters Rafael's cell she notices that his bed has pillows under the sheets to make it look like there is a body underneath.

A guard notices the open cell door and finds Jess in the room. Luckily, Rafael shows up and is able to put the guard in a sleeper hold to subdue him. When they are able to talk to each other Rafael tells Jess "I was breaking out to save you" and Jess tells Rafael "I was breaking in to break you out".

Answer: Rats

Rafael tells Jess to stay clear of the rats when they are going through the old wing. Jess tells her father it's okay because she had a rat as a kid. Rafael reiterates to be careful because prison rats are not nice like pet rats. The two eventually get past the rats without incident.

Answer: Rafael blinds the sniper with sunlight reflected from a glass shard.

Rafael tells Jess that he has made it out of the prison many times but he has never gotten past the sniper tower. Jess is scared about there being a sniper tower but Rafael convinces her that he will blind the sniper with sunlight reflected from a piece of glass.

The sniper tries to shoot Jess when she is running to the fence but the sniper misses several shots because of the sunlight impacting his shots and Jess is able to cut a hole in the fence. Rafael is about to be shot by the sniper but someone takes out the sniper first and Jess is able to escape with her father.

Answer: Liam's father's last tracked spot was different than where he supposedly died.

Initially Liam and Myles wanted access to Billie's GPS trackers to try and locate Jess. Unable to locate Jess, Liam notices that his father and grandfather had both been tracked by Billie. Liam pulls up the GPS tracker history of his father and notices that when it stopped tracking in 2009 it was in a different spot than where he thought his father had died. Of course this makes Liam want to investigate further but more of Billie's henchmen enter and Liam has to escape.

Answer: Devil's Swamp near Vicksburg

When Jess arranges the panels of the relics she assumes that they are showing a map with rivers. However, her father tells her that the 'X' on the map is a symbol for Quetzalcoatl who is associated with Venus and that the map is really of the sky. Jess uses an astronomy app to determine that the map points to a spot in the Devil's Swamp near Vicksburg, MS. Rafael tells Jess that this makes sense since the Daughters of the Plumed Serpent utilized the Mississippi River to transport treasure to safer places.

Answer: Salazar is a criminal network rather than one person.

Known simply as the long-haired man, Jess remembered that this man had followed them before when they were at Peter Sadusky's house. The long-haired man tells Jess and Rafael that he had been following them to warn them about Salazar. He tells them that Salazar is a name of the whole criminal organization. People in this organization call themselves Salazar collectively to shield the identity of their members and instill fear to those that know of the ways of their namesake.
