Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Leg 11 took place in and around which Malaysian city?

Answer: Kuching

For the penultimate leg of the race, the final four teams needed to take a flight from Kota Kinabalu and cross Borneo to the Malaysian city of Kuching. There, racers would leave the airport in the order that they arrived at the tenth Pit Stop, cracking open clues sending them through the city to the Petanak Central Market.

They drove themselves to the market, picking up a list of items that they would use to prepare breakfast for the local wildlife at the Semenggoh Wildlife Center, where they'd find their next clue.
2. The island of Borneo was the site of which rarely-seen race mechanic, encountered by teams in Leg 11?

Answer: Intersection

Reaching the Semenggoh Wildlife Centre, all four teams found an Intersection board awaiting them, their second of the race, having seen it before in Agra in Leg 2. This meant that, until further notice, each team had to pair up with another to complete tasks, and here this involved oranguatans. To begin, one team had to prepare breakfast for the primates while the other team went into the jungle to call the picky eaters. Additionally, all teams would receive information from local guides and be required to memorize those facts for a test. If they got the questions correct, they'd be able to race without being paired any longer.

Darren and Tristan paired with Alli and Angie while Harry and Teddy were left to work with Emma and Hayley.
3. Alli and Angie were required to complete a Speed Bump in Leg 11. It involved making which of these for oranguatans?

Answer: Climbing rope

Once racers split up from their Intersection they could continue racing apart, but before leaving the Semenggoh Wildlife Centre, Alli and Angie had to contribute one more gift to the orangutans, joining the workers in setting up a new climbing rope for the 'Orangutan Highway'. To do this, the pair needed to head into the jungle and, using a large slingshot, drape the rope over the treetops to the jungle floor, properly securing it for use. If Alli and Angie could do this they could resume the course.
4. The Road Block encountered on the Sarawak Kanan River (in Leg 11) had teams using which traditional weapon?

Answer: Blowgun

All teams, leaving the wildlife centre, had to make their way to Kampung Danu to build a bamboo raft. After riding their raft six kilometres down the rapid-laden Sarawak Kanan River, racers would get their next clue, a Road Block, and need to pick the participant. For this challenge, Tristan, Alli, Emma, and Teddy needed to use a traditional blowgun, properly firing their darts to hit three different fruit targets. Doing this would allow them to race on to the Pit Stop.
5. Which team was eliminated from the race in fourth place, arriving at the Pit Stop in Leg 11 in last?

Answer: Harry and Teddy

The end of the leg led the teams on foot to the Pit Stop as they searched for Beau and the mat at a bend in the Sarawak Kanan River. The catch is that they needed to locate the bend with little direction, searching the rainforest until they found what they sought.

Despite their Speed Bump, Alli and Angie overtook all the other teams, landing on the mat in first due to clever navigation and securing their spot in the finale. They were followed by Darren and Tristan, who got lost en route to the mat, and Emma and Hayley, who narrowly kept ahead of the boys to stay in the competition.

It meant that Harry and Teddy would head home in fourth place, one leg shy of the finish line.
6. In the final leg of the race, teams had to make a Malaysian dessert dish accompanied by which of these?

Answer: Snake

The final three teams were brought together in Kuala Lumpur to commence the final leg of "The Amazing Race Australia 7", and it was at the end of the Saloma Link bridge, overlooking the Klang River, that they were reminded that the finish line would be ahead. All three teams left at the same time, heading out on foot to their backpacks and clues waiting across the river, and from there they could catch a cab to Fangs by DEKŐRI Premium Café.

Upon arriving at the café, one racer would need to instruct their partner as to how to construct a specialty dessert solely from description. The racer constructing the dish would be saddled with a massive snake, just to make things interesting.
7. In a Kuala Lumpur bookstore, racers found a clue hidden in the pages of what thematically-apt book?

Answer: Around the World in Eighty Days

After their dessert challenge, racers needed to hop back into a cab and make their way to BookXcess RexKL, one of the world's largest bookstores. There, racers had to grab a treasure map located in the labyrinthine store's travel section. Using this, they had to determine how to read the map using the store's complex bookshelves. If they could line things up just right, they'd find their next clue within a copy of Jules Verne's "Around the World in Eighty Days" and they'd be able to continue onward.
8. In Kuala Lumpur, racers had to learn choreography in which style to collect a clue?

Answer: Hip-hop

Teams leaving the bookstore had to locate their next task across Kuala Lumpur, and they could take any mode of transportation they felt necessary to reach the Masjid Jamek Pedestrian Bridge. Once there, racers joined a group of M-pop musicians, working with the hip-hop group known as the Nasty Boys to learn and perform a dance routine. If they could hit the complex dance moves in sync with each other and the artists, they could get their next clue.
9. Racers had to put how many images in order to complete their final memory challenge and head to the finish line?

Answer: Ten

Racers left the dance challenge bound for Menara TA One, a skyscraper situated across the plaza from the world-famous Petronas Twin Towers, where they would find their last challenge of the race-- a test of memory and fine details, of course. Arriving on the rooftop, racers were given twenty images, ten of which they would use and ten of which would have distinctly incorrect details. If they could place the ten images in the correct order based on the different locations visited over the course of the race, they'd get their final clue.
10. How many teams walked away with the prize for their charity at the end of the race?

Answer: Three

As soon as teams were given the go on the memory challenge they could take the train to Masjid Jamek, then proceed on foot to the River of Life Lookout to search for Beau and the finish line. Darren and Tristan finished the memory task first and located the finish line ahead of the other teams, but sat aside from the mat, holding back until Emma and Hayley and Alli and Angie arrived shortly thereafter. As a result, all three teams crossed the finish line at the same time, splitting the $100,000 AUD prize for each of their charities.

It would make this, technically, the first instance in any "Amazing Race" season, worldwide, to have more than one winning team, and it would mark the first instance in the Australian version to feature all-female teams in the winning position.
