Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. When does Edgeworth debut?

Answer: "Turnabout Sisters"

Edgeworth is not the prosecutor in any of the trilogy's opening cases. It is always the incompetent Winston Payne, a far less capable prosecutor whose role is simply to provide a lesser presence for the player to play against in a tutorial setting. As such, Edgeworth debuted in the first game's second episode.
2. Edgeworth's got quite the reputation even just right after debuting. What moniker does he go by?

Answer: The Demon Prosecutor

Edgeworth has developed a reputation as someone who does anything at all costs to land a Guilty verdict against the person he is prosecuting. He has, according to rumor, even gone as far as fabricating evidence to attain this goal.
3. In "Goodbye my Turnabout", Edgeworth uniquely does not play the role of prosecutor here. What is Edgeworth in this episode?

Answer: Defendant

Edgeworth is accused of having shot and killed Robert Hammond, a defense attorney who famously opposed Edgeworth's father and defended his client successfully against him. The motive is therefore relatively clear, and the circumstances as they were, Edgeworth spends this episode stuck in quite a lot of trouble.
4. In "Rising from Ashes," Edgeworth makes a shocking discovery late in the episode that briefly causes him to completely lose his cool. What do we learn that Edgeworth accidentally did here?

Answer: Transported the body of the victim

From moment one, we knew that Edgeworth's car trunk had the victim's body in it. However, it wasn't until late that we discover that the body was actually placed in Edgeworth's car, and he then proceeded to drive with the body to the Prosecution's Office, where it was discovered. It was initially thought that the body was placed into his car *after* he had finished driving.
5. Edgeworth has a phobia. What is Edgeworth afraid of?

Answer: Earthquakes

In "Goodbye my Turnabout", Edgeworth is discussing the case with Phoenix when a mild earthquake ensues. It may be mild, but it causes Edgeworth to pass out completely. It's to the point where standing on a ladder which trembles slightly very barely replicates an earthquake, forcing Edgeworth to call for assistance whenever he needs to reach up high to get a book at his shelf in his office.
6. In Edgeworth's childhood, we learn that he had his lunch money stolen at school one day. After the entire class accuses a young Phoenix Wright of doing it, how does Edgeworth respond?

Answer: Demanding evidence

Edgeworth makes a simple demand- if everyone in the class is so certain that Phoenix stole his money, then they should have to prove that Phoenix did it. Nobody is able to do so, leading to Edgeworth rejecting the notion that Phoenix did it. We later learn that it was actually Larry Butz who did the deed.
7. In "Turnabout Big Top", we learn that Edgeworth suddenly fled the country and left behind a note saying "Prosecutor Edgeworth chooses death." What did Edgeworth do?

Answer: Left the country

In actuality, Edgeworth fled the country in disgrace after losing a myriad of trials to Phoenix. This disgusts Phoenix, as he finds Edgeworth's reason for fleeing to be childish. However, for as tensely as it may be implied, Edgeworth fortunately never mentions having had a desire to actually end it all, and he does return later in the game.
8. In "Farewell, my Turnabout", Maya Fey is kidnapped. Edgeworth decides to help Phoenix find her, by dispatching a team of police to search for her. However, he cautions Phoenix that he now has to find something. What is it?

Answer: The true meaning of his career

In actuality, Phoenix is defending as client who by all rights is guilty. This is unbeknownst to Phoenix at the time, but not Edgeworth. As Edgeworth himself once fabricated evidence to get an ideal verdict, then later lamented his actions, he most likely envisions a similar dilemma for Phoenix.

In the end, Phoenix does the 'right' thing and eventually does not secure the not guilty verdict for his more than guilty client.
9. Edgeworth takes a particularly unique appearance in "Bridge to the Turnabout", as he ends up taking Phoenix's place briefly as the defense attorney in this one. While Phoenix is incapacitated, does the player play as Edgeworth?

Answer: Yes

In what was inarguably the coolest part of the entire trilogy, the player gets to play as Edgeworth himself for one in-game day. Here, he spends time investigating the scene, and then defending Iris Hawthorne in court before turning things back over to Phoenix once the latter is ready to go.
10. With Edgeworth holding down the fort on the defense side, he clearly cannot also be the prosecutor. Who is the opposing attorney for Edgeworth in "Bridge to the Turnabout"?

Answer: Franziska von Karma

Out of the entire courtroom, only Franziska realizes something is amiss as Edgeworth sits on the defense bench. Franziska, however, would much rather "crush" Edgeworth in court than blow his disguise, so she does not really seem to care.
