Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Kanji's weapon of choice is quite bizarre when he joins the team. What does he wield?

Answer: A chair

Kanji can exchange this chair for more "traditional" gear such as a shield, or the player can equip him with other wacky makeshift weapons, such as desks, plates or even a piece of a statue.
2. Uniquely, if Kanji is on the field, the player launches an All Out Attack that doesn't kill all enemies, and there's another specific teammate on the field, Kanji can use "Beauty and the Beast" without it consuming his turn. He can only do this if this specific teammate is on the battlefield with him. What teammate is it?

Answer: Naoto Shirogane

In the story, Kanji and Naoto spend a good deal of time together. Quite a bit of that time is fairly awkward to even romantically implicit. When their respective TV world dungeons are on tap and the player needs to gather clues on Kanji or Naoto, the other one is involved in accumulating said clues quite heavily.

This firmly establishes the reasoning for why the two have a similar tag team attack to Yukiko and Chie. As for which is meant to be the "beauty" and which is the "beast"? Your guess is as good as mine.
3. Fairly early in the game, it becomes very obvious that Kanji has a large romantic interest in another character who later joins the team. Who is this?

Answer: Naoto Shirogane

Unlike Yosuke's interest in Rise, or Rise's interest in Yu, Kanji's romance takes quite a bizarre series of turns. His interest in Naoto is very clear even before Naoto's true gender identity is revealed, and she is believed to be a man. Even after this is clarified, Kanji remains interested.

This largely implies Kanji is bisexual, which, in 2008 for a game made in and based in Japan, would've been pretty major.
4. As a primary physical attacker, what is the strongest physical attack Kanji can learn?

Answer: Primal Force

Compared to God's Hand, Primal Force deals slightly less damage at base but has a much higher critical rate of 20% compared to 5% for the former. Sadly, Kanji's low Agility makes it difficult to take advantage of this, but his high Strength means that when he does get lucky, he's absolutely going to be leaving a mark if not outright annihilating whatever he is targeting.
5. Kanji's starting Persona should be familiar to those who played "Persona 3" as this persona is usable for the player in that game. Who is it?

Answer: Take Mikazuchi

Take Mikazuchi, similarly to "Persona 3", uses Electric magic but has stats heavily skewed towards favoring a physical approach rather than a magical one. He is weak to Wind but resists Electric.
6. Somewhat similar to teammate Naoto Shirogane, Kanji can learn a passive recovery skill. What skill is this?

Answer: Regenerate

Kanji receives Regenerates 1 and 3 via level up, while he can gain 2 if the player progresses his social. Combine this with his massive healthpool and his high Endurance, and Kanji is clearly the non-Narukami tank of the team, being the most adept at taking hits.
7. When Shadow Kanji is defeated, he will scream some "final words" of sorts before collapsing, and is the only boss in the game to do this. What does Shadow Kanji shout as he goes down?

Answer: "Accept me!"

Similarly to those before him, Kanji's Shadow was essentially 'born' out of his unsuppressed, hidden away desires. In this context, Shadow Kanji is basically nude, managing a bathhouse where he "puts on shows" for his patrons. Kanji portrays himself in the real world as a rigid, unbreakable tough guy, but his Shadow is distinctly more feminine and emotional, portraying Kanji has harboring some relatively "toxic masculine" traits in the real world.
8. When his Persona evolves twice, Kanji will receive a skill that is entirely exclusive to him called "The Man's Way." What does The Man's Way do?

Answer: Chance to knock down all foes

The Man's Way has a 30% chance to knock down all foes, then a 30% chance to apply Dizzy to them after the fact. It does not work on bosses or mini bosses, relegating it to work on 'trash mobs'. This alone sadly makes the skill pretty forgettable, especially compared with its low proc chance and Kanji's poor Agility failing to move the needle in that regard.
9. When his Persona evolves a second time, Kanji gains a helpful new resistance that none of his non-Narukami teammates can have. What does Kanji now resist?

Answer: Physical

With his enormous healthpool nod Regenerate 3, resisting physical may as well make Kanji immune to it, apart from the fact that he can still be critically hit by a physical attack.
10. Upon maxing Kanji's social, the player gains the ability to create the Ultimate Emperor Persona. Who is this?

Answer: Odin

Odin is a powerful Persona uniquely able to learn Panta Rhei, the strongest Wind spell in the entire game. He also learns Mind Charge and Wind Amp to best make use of that. Sadly, he is weak to Fire and does not learn a passive to cover that up, so the player would do well to get a skill card for that purpose.
