Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
Answer:

Of the fifteen countries which fitted the criteria, Luxembourg, Thailand, Russia and the Netherlands have horizontal stripes of red, white and blue although the designs vary a little and the blue is a paler shade for Luxembourg than the usual navy. Norway and Iceland both have Nordic crosses on their flags, but Norway has a red field with a blue cross and Iceland has a blue field with a red cross - both crosses are outlined in white. Samoa, Chile and Liberia have a blue canton (in the top left corner) with a star or stars in it.

Cuba and Czechia both have a triangle on the hoist side, nearest the flag pole, with Cuba's being red with a white star and Czechia's being blue. Panama's flag is divided into four squares, one red, one blue and two white which have a red star and a blue star in them. Laos has two red stripes with a wider blue stripe in the middle which has a white circle in it. North Korea has a wide red strip in the middle with a star in a circle on it. This stripe has very narrow white stripes each side and blue stripes top and bottom. Nepal's distinctive double pennant flag is red outlined in blue with a white design in both the top and bottom part.

Malaysia's flag is similar to Liberia's but has a yellow sun and moon in the blue canton, so doesn't fit. Croatia, Costa Rica, Slovenia and Serbia are all near misses as the main areas of the flag fit but the coats of arms include other colours. South Korea is close but has black designs on it. The other three don't come near - Georgia just has red and white while Armenia and Colombia have stripes of red, blue and gold.
