Rockfield Studios breakthrough came in 1970, with the release of the single "I Hear You Knocking", sung by the Welsh singer Dave Edmunds. Other well known bands using the Studio were, Adam and the Ants, Black Sabbath, Manic Street Preachers and Simple Minds.
