Liam was originally photographed for the sleeve but Noel protested that it was a love song and they should get a girl to be on it instead. Anita Heryet, an employee of Creation Records, was the girl eventually featured on the finished artwork.

Noel Gallagher was supposed to be in the photo, but didn't make it due to a case of alcohol poisoning. In the distance, to the left, you can see producer Owen Morris holding a master copy of the LP.

According to 'Q' magazine, 'NME' and various other Oasis publications, the picture was taken on 13 February 2002. It's at the Gare de Lyon, inside a metro station, where the band were changing trains. It is the result of just one shot, as evidenced by the negative border on the album sleeve.

According to Noel Gallagher and other people pictured, as quoted in 'Q', 'Select' and 'NME'. The shoot for this sleeve took place at the Halcyon Hotel in London. The women shown are employees of Creation Records. The bloke next to Liam is Tim Abbott, a friend of the band who also once worked for Creation and later co-authored an Oasis semi-bio/tour diary.

This sleeve was shot in Wigan near a boxing club. Wigan is the home town of The Verve, one of the bands Oasis admired, toured with, and eventually became good mates with.

The sleeve also features a drum kit with a swirling Union Jack design, a white piano (similar to the one John Lennon played on the promo film for his classic song 'Imagine'), various guitars, and a microphone stand. The equipment is surrounded by red, white and blue carnations.

During the banter between songs on 'Familiar To Millions', Liam remarks "Whose idea was it for the phone box last time?" to which Noel replies "That'd have been mine, and that kids is a bad advert for drug abuse." Thus it is inferred that it was Noel who suggested a phone box be part of the decor for the 'Be Here Now' sleeve.

Their offices happened to be in the same building and Noel briefly spoke with him about designing sleeves for Oasis.
