Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Which was the first Oasis video shot completely in black and white?

Answer: Cigarettes and Alcohol

This was the band's 4th and final single from "Definitely Maybe", and the video was taken from a small private gig for fans.
2. In which video is Liam seen being chased by a large dog?

Answer: Songbird

This was shot in a London Park and features Liam sat strumming an acoustic guitar at the foot of a tree. The closing sequence sees him first chasing a large dog across the screen, only for the dog to be the pursuer when the 2 reappear a few seconds later.
3. Which of these videos does NOT feature a mode of transport?

Answer: The Hindu Times

"Supersonic" shows a jet flying overhead, "Go Let It Out" sees Liam travelling to an outdoor gig via a double decker bus, and "D'yer Know What I Mean?" has a military helicopter in flight.
4. Which video has Noel busking in a doorway?

Answer: Little By Little

Noel is seen strumming and singing while actor Robert Carlyle plays a character who starts out tiny but grows into a giant by the end of the song (the street Noel busks on is "Heathen Street").
5. In the video to "Don't Look Back In Anger", where are the drums being played?

Answer: In a swimming pool

This video was shot in the grounds of a country estate, and Alan White is seen drumming on a platform in the swimming pool (this video would be later reprised for the cover of the next album, "Be Here Now". Here the band is seen around a pool containing a Rolls Royce bearing a registration number from a vehicle on the cover of "Abbey Road").
6. What word is Liam seen spelling out with dominoes in the video for "Champagne Supernova"?

Answer: Help

At the very end of the video, Liam is seen spelling out 'HELP'. This was not planned by the director and as Noel told the NME in 1997, this was no homage to the Beatles, but a reaction to 'what he was going through at the time'.
7. In the "All Around The World" video, what weapons are used to attack the 'spaceship' Oasis are travelling in?

Answer: Fountain pens

This whole video is a pastiche of the Beatles' "Yellow Submarine" animated film. The band is seen flying around in a yellow spaceship with weird and wonderful creatures and landscapes appearing beneath them. The spaceship comes under attack from a group of fountain pens firing ink up into the sky.
8. What is the only thing Noel is seen doing in the video for "The Importance of Being Idle"?

Answer: Shaving

The band only fleetingly appear in this video for the second single from "Don't Believe The Truth". Shot in black and white and set in an undertakers, Noel is seen briefly shaving at a mirror. Liam is in full undertaker's regalia, but with shades and trainers on. The rest of the band is seen playing cards on a coffin.
9. Which video has an opening scene of a match being struck?

Answer: Stop Crying Your Heart Out

This song was the second lifted from 2002's "Heathen Chemistry" and was sadly used as a soundtrack to England's exit from the World Cup that year.
10. Who is the odd man out for the "Wonderwall" video?

Answer: Guigsy

Guigsy does not appear in the video at all. At the time of the single's release in November 1995, Guigsy had left the band through nervous exhaustion and had been replaced on bass by The Ya Ya's Scott Mcleod. It is Scott who appears in this video instead (Guigsy would later return as bass player until 1999).
